The location was great. However, the room was below average, and the hotel staff were not accommodating. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Hotel Union Square Anonymous, 2005-06-12 I arrived at the hotel at 9:30am, but was unable to check-in as the rooms where not ready. I left my luggage at the front and went about my day returning at about 2pm for the check-in. Instead of a double bed, I was given 2 twin beds. I was told that none were available and that with my reservation the hotel could give me which ever room was available. Although a room with a queen bed was available they couldn't give it to me as it was booked for another guest. I explained how unfair this was since I specifically booked my room with the guarantee of a double not a twin bed which was too small. On top of this, the room had no bathtub (only a shower), no refrigerator as indicated in the amenities, and not to mention that it was a small dank corner facing a wall. The room looked nothing like the picture shown. The room was so cold that I had to request a portable heater which was kept on all night. The "on-site parking with in/out privileges" fails to mention that it would cost about $30 each day. The alternative choice would be to feed the parking meter every hour. |
