Score 5 out of 5 Above Expectations Rene, 2005-08-09 Just a short drive from the hotel is the Sun Dial Bridge. We had dinner at the cafe there. It was very good if not a bit over priced. Afterward we crossed the bridge and enjoyed the sunset. Don't miss winding down around under the bridge where the temperature drops at least 10 degrees as you get to the water.Our stay at Redding Travel Lodge was much better than we expected. The adjoining rooms we requested were great. Each room had a full size refrigerator and a microwave. The 2 queen size beds were comfortable. They had more cable channels than we have at home. The pool has afternoon shade with pool side table and chairs. We never expected vouchers for breakfast at the restaurant next door. We ate full breakfasts at no cost to us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to stay 1 1/2 hours longer then check out time so the kids could nap before we hit the road. |
