Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 THis is not a safe Hotel Anonymous Several restaurants within walking distance. While the staff was more than accomidating and the room was clean.....The hotel is located in a rough area of town. This is not a place I would take children and if you choose to stay- do not plan on feeling safe. Score 4 out of 5 family friendly Anonymous, Tucson, AZ, 2006-10-12 well, everything was pretty good, exept a microwave.....and a small coffee maschine would be helpful. Your place was very nice and clean. Score 1 out of 5 No Good Anonymous, Las Vegas, NV, 2006-10-01 Small Sushi restaurant right next to the hotel.Check in time was 3pm and when we got there at 4:30pm, housekeeping was still cleaning the room. They did not get done until 5pm. The front desk manager was indifferent and not very helpful. The hotel location was in a scary part of town. I did not even see the pool or restaurant. Parking was also very limited. Score 4 out of 5 Convenient to Convention Center Anonymous, Oakland, CA, 2006-10-01 Great Dining near the Convention Center just a short drive away.Vagabond Inn is conveniently located to Convention Center (driving distance of 10 minutes) The room was comfortable and everything except for the carpet and the bed spread was very clean. The bathroom was recently upgraded and the shower had plenty of water pressure. Matress was very comfortable. The towels were actually more luxurious than what one would normally expect in a Motel. The Front Desk staff was very friendly. The biggest problem was parking - there simply were not enough available spaces and we were asked by the staff to park in the fire lanes. Overall, for the value, we would stay at this particular Vagabond Motel again. Score 4 out of 5 Worth what I paid Anonymous, 2006-08-27 It was worth the money. Our room had a funny smell like it used to be a smoking room and was then changed to non-smoking and the odor was covered up by a spray but that's the worst thing. The bed was comfortable and the pool looked very inviting. I was dropping my daughter off at college so I didn't really spend a lot of time there. I would stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 On a Tight Budget Anonymous, San Jose, CA, 2006-08-05 The Vagabond Inn was alright, the room lacked some of the amenities that other hotels offer. Such as a microwave or mini-fridge. The bed was a little hard for my liking but perfect for my fiancee. The bathroom was seperate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter. They had adequate space for hanging clothes, one suitcase stand and not enough drawers for two travelers. They had one desk that was suppose to serve as a table and only one chair -- one of us had to sit on the bed as the other chair when we chose to eat inside the room. They did allow pets, even though we didn't bring any of our own, we did encounter a lot of dogs. The location wasn't what I had in mind but the short distance to the beach and variety of restaurants surrounding it made up for it's unpleasant neighborhood. Overall, if you're on a tight budget and all you want to do is sleep there, then this really isn't such a bad place to stay. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Vagabond Inn San Pedro Tina, Sacramento, CA, 2006-07-09 There's plenty of restaurants nearby. Everything from Hawaiian BBQ, Chinese, Mexican, and American dining. They have a wonderful breakfast on Pacific Avenue called Pacific Diner. The Vagabond Inn was very clean and comfortable. The room was very nice for the price. The bathroom is separate from the vanity area, which was nice! The sink has a long counter, with plenty of room for toiletries and things. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to hang clothing. We also had a wonderful view of the harbor at night! I would definitely stay here again!! Score 5 out of 5 Very convient. Marie, San Diego, CA, 2006-07-02 Great Greek restraunt in San Pedro.Perfect location for taking a cruise out of San Pedro. Score 4 out of 5 Cheap but Noisy Anonymous, 2006-06-21 The room was adequate in an ugly cheap motel kind of way. The hotel was in the process of being renovated, with new furniture being installed. Unfortunately, that's a noisy process and began early in the day and went on late into the evening. It was impossible to get a full night's sleep. Score 5 out of 5 nice place cheap price Anonymous, Tucson, AZ, 2006-06-05 Nice place with a nice pool that the kids enjoyed. |
