I thought the convenience of the hotel was great. It is right at the beginning of the the downtown area. There was dining across the street and shopping within walking distance.

I expected the hotel to be a bit more upscale for the price. It was very nice overall

Don't Pass It Up

Many different restaurants on Palm Canyon worth trying at a variety of prices. Also try the River in Rancho Mirage.

The Shilo Inn provided me with a very enjoyable visit to to Palm Springs. I was able to check in an hour early and the room was confortable and clean. As I traveled with another adult, I was pleased that my balcony overlooked the adult pool rather than the family pool. The room was clean and the furniture was new-looking. I loved that the room was stocked with four bath towels. The property was well-kept and located directly across from two restaurants and a liguor store. The drive to downtown Palm Springs took approx. 5 minutes. The only amenities that would have made this a an even more desirable destination if there was a restaurant or bar on the property that could hav served pool-side. For everything that the Shilo Inn does provide, you can't pass this deal up.

diner/restaurants goo d for breakfast.

Decent hotel for families but not a business class hotel. Mattress is very uncomfortable. Rooms face parking lot but no additional security on door other than dead bolt.

Good choice for the money

This hotel has a good location for visitors, who are interested in staying close near town in Palm Springs. It is by no mean a luxury hotel but is adequate for overnight stay or even a three day vacation, etc. The room is clean and services are adequate to good. The exercise room has good equipment and the pool is also good. You have no problem reaching resturants and eteries. Of course, you do need a car to get around. It is a good choice for the money.
