The Boardwalk is a short "fun" walk from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is the only beach front property in Sant Cruz and the location was/is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool area, as well as the short walk to the beach. We ordered room service several times and were very pleased with the quality of our breakfast, as well as the promptness of the delivery. We are planning another stay at this hotel.

Basic amenities - but right on the beach

For a great run, head north on West Cliff Drive. Apprx 3 miles to the Natural Bridges State Park. If you're looking for a longer run turn right at the park entrance onto Swanson, left on Delaware and right onto Shaffer until you cross the bike path that parallels highway 1. Take the path north to Wilder Ranch State park.

Overall the Coast Santa Cruz provides and excellent stay if you're looking for something right on the beach. The room is standard hotel fare - no frills but adequate. They have a small, heated children's pool which you don't find too often. Our 2 yr old loved it! The hotel restaurant was great! I'm usually not one to eat at the hotel, but their food was excellent and very reasonable. The staff was outstanding and we wound up eating there 5 times during our stay! If location is your priority then the Coast Santa Cruz is a great choice.

We reserved for a 2-bed non-smoking room for 4 persons for 2 nights. When checked in we were given 1-bed standard smoking room. Only after loud complaint, we were given a 2-bed room on our second night.

Great location & view

We loved the location of this hotel on the beach and right near the boardwalk and pier! Great to just walk over to the pier and choose one of the great restaurants to eat at!
