This Motel 6 has recently completed its renovation as part of our plan to upgrade all our locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Santa Barbara - Beach Motel 6 is located just 1 block from the beach and within minutes of the shopping and dining of State Street! Area attractions include the Santa Barbara Zoo, museums, wineries and golf courses. Also, the University of California - Santa Barbara is only 12 miles from the motel.

The rooms need updating - the carpets need to be replaced, the mattress is old and lumpy and has a plastic liner that crunches when you sit on it. Overall I would recommend it only because of its location and because Santa Barbara is so expensive that this still may be a good deal. I would not recommend it for more than two nights stay since it is not very comfortable. Score 2 out of 5 Nice location. Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2005-06-09 This hotel is located right off Cabrillo Blvd across from the East Beach, a fantastic location. No wonder it is always booked up in high seasons. The room was so tiny, two queen beds took almost all the space. There was almost nothing else in the room. I spent most of the time outside walking around, anyways. No breakfast was served except free coffee. Overall I am satisfied. I love Santa Barbara, such a beautiful town. |
