Royal Sun Inn has without any question the best location in town: nestled against the mountains at the wind free Southend of Palm Springs. One and half miles from downtown and 4 miles from the Palm Springs Aerial Trainway and 3 miles from the Palm Springs International Airport. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. All of our 66 rooms have refrigerators, coffee maker and microwaves, private patio or balcony. Spacious sun terrace, recently renovated pool & jacuzzi area, small exercise room and coin operated laundry machine. Two gas barbacues and picnic area for our guests to enjoy. This is a completely Non-Smoking property and you must be at least 21 yrs of age to check in.

Palm Springs not what it used to be.Score 5 out of 5 Relaxing vacation stay Daniel, Portland, OR Across the street is an excellent steak restaurant. The Royal Sun Inn was a pleasant relaxing vacation stay. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfasts were adequate but if I wanted something more substantial, restaurants were less than a mile drive away. I would definitely stay there again. For restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and sight-seeing, you have to get in the car. And don't lose your key.I spent the entire trip worried that I'd lose the little hotel key I was issued: there's a fifty dollar charge if you don't return it. As a huge fan of mid-century Modern, it seemed to me that the folks who run the place have no idea what a little gem they have, design-wise. I don't doubt that when it's renovated, most of those elements will end up in a dumpster. And, it was a little disconcerting being the only guests under sixty-five years old. That said, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. But, I suspect that I could have done a lot better. Score 5 out of 5 very good hotel Claude, 2007-02-01 the golf courses are very closeEverything was very good. I do not have a complaint about anything. Score 4 out of 5 Nice pool and great view Tyrone, 2006-12-31 In a car almost all of the major events/attractions were in about 5 to 10 minutes away.Being a short distance away from the center of town we avoided a lot of the rush hour traffic. The room was very large. The pool was a nice size also and the heated hot tub was very nice. The hotel was not within walking distance to the downtown for us but we are old and not in good shape. The botanical gardens was across the street and there were very nice to expensive reataurants within walking distance. For the cost the hotel was exceptional. The free breakfast was were good and saved us a lot of money. The people at the main desk were very friendly. We will stay there in the future. Score 5 out of 5 good location Mary, Fargo, ND, 2006-12-29 golf club rental 10.00 discount golf through front deskI was very satisfied with the motel The hot tub was not working but they did fix it. The walls were very thin. voices carried right through the walls. Breakfast good but a crowded room. I think it was very reasonably priced. I would stay there agian if the price was right. good restaurants close by Indian Canyons and Indian canyon golf course close. They did run out of coupons for the tram. golf clubs to rent was a nice perk as well as the breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
