Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Good Value Marlin I was attending a seminar at another hotel. The room cost at the other hotel were more than twice the cost house. My room was comfortable and clean. It was also conveniently located near the freeway and eating facilities. A good value. Score 4 out of 5 Review Alma, Sacramento, CA Lucille's is great.Score 4 out of 5 Cold showers in January Anonymous, Sacramento, CA A must do . . . Walt's Wharf in Seal Beach about 4 miles south of the hotel on Main Street. Great food and service. Be ready to wait 45 min. to 1 hr. before being seated but worth the wait.Although the staff was friendly, the room wasn't as clean as it could have been and 2 mornings of our 4 day stay had no hot water for our showers. January anywhere is not a good time for that!! Score 5 out of 5 Large, comfortable room Betsy, Cleveland, OH There was a great Brazilian Steakhouse right next to the hotel. The food was very good although it would be pricey for a family with children. The Guest House was very clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious. It had a large desk and a reclining chair, so you didn't have to watch T.V. laying on the bed. I liked having the sink area, with frig and microwave, was seperate from the bath. It was easy to get to, not too far from the freeway. I would definitely stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 Review Fred Golfing Across the streetScore 5 out of 5 Very satisfactory. Stanley, Denver, CO, 2007-02-18 I really have no complaints. It was clean and presentable and served our stay perfectly. It had simple amenities......nothing grand but it was fine. Well located for Long Beach. Score 1 out of 5 Don't stay on the week-end Anonymous, San Diego, CA, 2006-12-30 Since I had stayed at the GuestHouse Suites Hotel, I thought it would be a nice quiet place to prepare ourselves for our granddaughters Memorial Service the next day. It was terrible. The pipes overhead were so noisy, we couldn't go to sleep. Our grandsons bunkbed springs poked through and there were people outside making noise until after 1 a.m. The only good thing was the breakfast but because it was so crowded, you couldn't find a table in the small lobby to eat your food. I won't be staying at this hotel again. We got up more tired than when we went to bed. Another thing, it smelled, I'm not sure if it was the strong cleaning detergents or mold. I did get up two days later with a sinus infection so it may have been mold. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-07-31 No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 decent value Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2006-07-25 There's a nice shopping district (where you can actually WALK and it's close to the beach) on 2nd Street. There are some fun shops and good restuarants, plus walking along the side streets offers a unique look at some of the Southwest style homes of Long Beach. My room was very dark, especially considering that opening the shades on the windows would have given me absolutely no privacy. This hotel is not the best for business travelers, but it isn't the worst either. It is an older motel, but very clean. It is convenient to all the sights of Long Beach without being in the center of the tourist disticts. The breakfast options were all very sweet unless you want dry toast. Score 5 out of 5 Nice people Clint, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-07-22 DiPiazza's is right next door. Live bands and decent food.It was a fairly nice place, though the air conditioning unit was somewhat obtrusive. The front desk staff were very nice and I had extensive conversations with several of them. It was just a 20 minute walk to the track from the hotel, and I had no problems, other than that the ice machine was a bit slow. :) |
