Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Large Rooms, Clean & Central Location Anonymous, San Diego, CA, 2006-11-15 Try the Rio Grill in the shopping center across the street from the hotel for a good meal. Also, the chinese food place in the same center is open later than anywhere else, sometimes to 10pm if you need a bite really late!Carmel Mission Inn: November 2006 We travel with a truck full of tools on business, so we particularly appreciate that the ground floor rooms are generously sized (2 queen beds and a large windowseat area) and that we can store our tools in the room without being crowded and park our truck right outside our room! Bathrooms, towels and bed sheets are always crisp & clean. Even the windows are clean! :)(I find that a good sign in a hotel!) All lights always work, TV has plenty of cable chanels, there are plenty of plug-ins for computers and chargers and other stuff. Decent sized closet with hangers and suitcase stands, full length mirror and... 2 bathrobes! Hair dryer is provided in the bathroom, the shower has decent pressure and plenty of hot water. Staff is very nice, the public areas and grounds are clean and well maintained and the place seems well run. Hotel restaurant does a good breakfast with hot English tea & warm milk, however their morning coffee is lame. Try the Starbucks in the Albertson's up the street instead, if you are a coffee lover. (There is a drip coffee maker the room with supplies, but we haven't tried it!) There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance of the hotel, and the location is very central for the Carmel/Monterey area. However, the hotel is well enough back from the main roads that is is nice and quiet at night. We like it a lot for business and will stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 Review Michael, Huntsville, AL, 2005-11-23 Carmel by the Sea is within a 3 mile drive. The quaint town has shopping, great dining and a lovely public beach. A great place to walk from shop to shop. Many art galleries as well.Score 5 out of 5 Great location. James, Charleston, SC, 2005-06-10 We were just a short drive to all the restaurants, shops, scenic drive not to mention the other amenities that are available to Carmel. Our room was better than we expected. I have arthritis in my neck and need two additional pillows, they were in our room and did not have to call. We really appreciated the larger than normal bathroom. |
