Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Cheap, nasty & rude staff... Tamara, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-03-11 The heart of Palm Springs is very nearby, although it seems like you are staying in a completely different city when at this hotel. This hotel actually has most amenities but in a very inconvenient way. If you need to plug anything in, just remember to bring an extension cord because outlets are under the bed, behind the TV or below the nightstand. The rooms are scantily lit and the DSL cable modem is on the nightstand instead of on the desk where it should be. Don't expect the rude staff to actually know what DSL cable is, however. However, do expect a huge puddle when you get out of the shower because the curtains aren't actually long enough to cover the shower. The good news about this place is that they provide an iron, ironing board, microwave, fridge and coffee maker...if you can find a place to plug it in. I was a little nervous when I saw chain locks on the door- it made me wonder where I was staying that I'd need it. They require a deposit for their cheap, plastic, credit card-like keys and then charge you if you lose them. Parking is hard to come by in the evenings. This hotel was way overpriced for what it is. Judging by the 1970's feel of the decor, I am amazed that this place is a Best Western. My suggestion: try the Best Western on the strip a couple of blocks away. The price is comparable and the stay is much up to standards. Score 3 out of 5 Good value for your money Amy, San Francisco, CA, 2005-11-15 The Best Western was a decent place to stay. Nothing fancy but definitley comfortable. The best part was the pool. It was very quiet and opened 24 hours. Don't expect to eat anything there, they serve breakfast (for a price) but it is nothing worth buying. The nice thing is that you have both a refrigerator and a microwave in the room and there is a grocery store about a half mile away. The room was quite clean although I was pretty disgusted to find a opened condom wrapper by the side of the bed. This was an ok place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of money. There were definitley worse places to stay that were more expensive. I would give it a 6 out of 10. |
