Starr Pass is a ten-minute drive from the heart of Tucson, but feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Recreational activities are at your doorstep...Championship Golf Course, hiking and biking trails, tennis, fitness center, heated pool and Jacuzzi.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 ok Anonymous Alot to do in and around tucson-also Golf on sitegood location- When some one was staying next door you could here their activities including tv- No extra towels- overall it was a great location and reasonable value for the money Score 5 out of 5 Family Friendly and Convenient Anonymous, 2006-10-22 Hotel amenities were very good. Rooms were clean and large. Since they were suites, parking was a bit awkward as the parking spots were limited and they were anywhere from 100-150 yards from your door. They key sensors were also very sensitive as we kept getting our keys erased and had to get them "reloaded" at the front desk. Restaurant options were limited to one and it was shared with the golf course. Good food, though. Starr Pass was very convenient to the city of Tucson and all of the attractions. The pool area and work out facitlity was excellent and in good working order. Everything was clean and in good shape. I would definitely stay again but it was clear they were under going changes as the golf course and restaurant were not connected to each other. Many of the services were referred to the JW Marriott just up the road. Outside of thjose minor items, Golf Suites at Starr Pass was a nice place to stay. It has a championship golf course on site. The Catalina Steakhouse (on-site)serves very good food. The scenic views are spectacular. The rooms are clean. The location being so far up starr pass (into the hills) was absolutely beautiful & quiet & peaceful. Could see amazing stars at night. Rooms very quiet, nice set-up, private. There were some beautiful areas for walking/hiking nearby, and pool & jacuzzi were perfect for relaxing. convenient to have a fridge, coffeemaker & microwave. Score 4 out of 5 Surrounding mountains, golf course and cactus were beautiful Kenneth, Honiara, 2005-11-07 Spent the morning at nearby Old Tucson. What a fun time we had and they had a restaurantIt was very difficult to find as the sign said Shell Golf Suites. After three passes we found it. They had a new computer system at the front desk and it took ten minutes to find our reservation. The restaurant was closed for a private party however she told us of a pizza place that delivered. The reservation was for two beds, she gave us a room with a king. The next day Sunday we were told the restaurant was closed. I asked at the front desk about the nearby Marriotts steakhouse. She had no idea. I asked if she could call and reluctantly she did. Low and behold---Food.... We stumbled on a shuttle that took us there. It would have been nice if the front desk offered us this service. She said she was hotel not food or transportation. I needed to change a $100.00 bill on Monday morning and she didn't have enough change. All in all the property is beautiful in a lovely and quiet location. However, guests have to eat and the staff should have options to provide the guests. |
