The La Quinta Inn-Tucson East is located only minutes from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the University of Arizona. Popular nearby attractions include the Pima Air and Space Museum, Tucson Raceway Park (NASCAR events), the Pima County Fairgrounds, and Major League Baseball spring training. Spend the day hiking in Sabino Canyon and Saguaro National Park. Visit magnificent Kartchner Caverns.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very family friendly James, Seattle, WA, 2006-10-29 There are at least 5 different food restaraunts within a block of La Quinta--Marie Callenders, a popular mexican restaurant, a sports bar and grill, Dennys, and a large buffet diner. A large mall is one block away.La Quinta was located in the center of Tucson and had various dining locations quite close. I approved of the fact that the bathroom was separate form the vanity area. Storage space was quite adequate. The room was quite comfortable. Score 4 out of 5 Very handy location. Anonymous, 2006-10-03 Mimi's Cafe is across the street from the hotel and is a favorite of ours for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also great shopping in the Park Mall across the street. A really great location if you are visiting Tucson.The La Quinta is in a very central location next to a large mall and surrounded by many restaurants. The room was very clean. The beds were much too hard. Time to upgrade the mattresses. It would be nice if there was a small refrigerator in the room. There was a coffee maker but the taste of the water was terrible. Unfortunately, the hotel is located in the "hot zone" of the West Nile Virus epidemic hitting Tucson presently so we were afraid to sit outside and use their pool (which was very nice size). Other than this situation and the uncomfortable beds we would probably stay there again if we needed to be in Tucson at a later date. It is a very handy location. The staff was terrific to make sure it was to our satisfaction. The dining choices we had available were great.
