Not in Sedona...

Ida, Albuquerque, NM

There are restaurants, bars, fast food all nearby. The traffic is a big problem to walk there and there are no shoulders for walking.

This hotel is about 15 miles away from Sedona in Oak Creek. There is construction going on and traffic is bumper to bumper and the sign ordinance being low caused us to pass it. We called on a cellphone and had to turn around and sit back in the traffic again. Check in was ok. The toilet ran constantly and when I told the maid she told me to jiggle the handle. I wanted to use the hot tub but because it was cold I was told the chemicals don't set up until 2 pm. I never could open the gate to it. Breakfast was free but poor. We bought our own bagels and used their toaster and they had cream cheese. The neighbors in another room were fighting and we heard every word. The door to the downstairs was locked and we had to walk around a long ways to get to the office. On the last day I told the owner about the toilet and she was very nice and offered us to change rooms. We didn't want to move our stuff, so she got a plumber to fix it temporarily.

Clean and comfortable.

There was a small Italian restaurant across the road. Food was excellent!! We had the deep dish pizza...YUMMY!!

Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel clerk was friendly and helpful at check-in and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would have liked is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Our brother-in-laws both had rooms as well and one of them had the refrigerator and microwave. So if this is important, you might want to request it in advance. Overall I would give our stay a 4 out of 5.

Vacation treat

Anonymous, 2006-06-01

There was a shopping center, two restaurants, a gas stations with a small market and a tourist information center.

The View Inn Sedona was quite comfortable. It was very Southwestern looking and roomy. The bathroom was separate from the vanity. The only option to hang clothes was a armore - so hanging anything long without it hitting the bottom was not possible. Even though it was not in the center of Sedona, it was only a 10 minute drive. It was very close to a 'vortex' and stream that was very scenic. There were several restaurants close by, one with a happy hour, and a Tourist Information Center was across the street. The view from the room was also very scenic. All in all, I would go back.

Loved the room

Odalis, Miami, FL, 2006-05-27

The Views Inn Sedona was a pleasant surprise. The room was comfortable and very clean. The interior decorating was outstanding! The bed coverings had a beautiful Southwestern print, which was a nice change from your typical white sheets. The bath towels were clean, fresh, rolled, and placed in a beautiful wicker basket. We were a little disapponted with the location, however. It was not close to the main street in Sedona. But we would definitely stay there again.

very good value and location

if you want to go hiking in the red rocks you need to buy a parking permit. these can be easily purchased at almost any hour at any circle K.

the staff was friendly and helpful and the location was excellent, i.e. close to the red rocks but away from the tourist clamor of downtown sedona. we would definitely stay here again.

Outlet mall was next door, but did not have much to offer.

beautiful view

Neva, 2006-04-24

We enjoyed shopping at the outlet mall about a block away. There was tents set up with vendors on Sunday.

The room had a beautiful view out of our window with the table and chairs to set and soak it all in. I liked very much the vanity being separate from the bath area. The continental breakfast was ample with a good selection. The hotel was right on the main street as we came, and it was close to the post office and services. Our main problem was the plumbing. We didn't get to sleep much. Each time the stool was flushed anywhere in the hotel there was a bang, bang, bang in our bathroom plumbing.

INN OF SEDONA

Rent a car.

Very cool atmosphere, the room was small, but the balcony was the best part. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. Oh yeah the pool and sauna, great feature.
