Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Old, needs alot of updating Linda, Tulsa, OK We were told about a restaurant by the concierge, it was fabulous, just a short drive away-Tejas Grill. Also, she gave us coupons for the Spa@ Camelback Inn by Marriott, he was very expensive but absolutely wonderful-we spent the day there.I was aware that it was a suite room but was expecting a much nicer room, actually took some pictures before I left because I plan to sent a letter to the resort also. The room was nicely decorated but had a huge piece of cracked granite on the countertop where the microwave, etc. was sitting. One of the walls had a hole in it that had just been patched and it was very obvious. Also, the light in area with the shower and toilet would blink on and off everytime the heating unit came on. I was told by a local that this resort had recently had a mulit-million dollar renovation but it was not apparent from what we saw. We did not eat in the restaurant so can't say anything about that. My husband played golf and it was satisfactory. Score 5 out of 5 BCS Championship Weekend JEFFREY, Columbus, OH Orange Tree is in a residential neighborhood, but very near a variety of shopping and restaurants. Golf is on-site. It's also easily accessible from major highways. My son and I visited Orange Tree for the BCS Championship Game. GO BUCKS! The one bedroom condo was great. It was very roomy and looked out over the 1st tee. We enjoyed the on-site golf. While the course is older and not as scenic as others in the area, it was still very fun to play. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. We had room service one evening, and it was very tasty and very reasonable. We had a great time at the resort all the way up through the Buckeyes run back of the opening kick-off. After that, the game went downhill, but we still had a great weekend. We would certainly stay at Orange Tree again. It was a very friendly and conmfortabkle place to be. Score 5 out of 5 A Great Find Anonymous, Cleveland, OH We loved the layouts of the suites, so much nicer than just a hotel room. Views were limited for us. staff was friendly and accomodating. restaurant was okay, reasonable prices. nice golf course. area seems residential but just a short drive to stores. Score 5 out of 5 Room comfort Anonymous, Seattle, WA The Kierland center has outdoor shopping with some nice stores Price range more middle but also several nice Bistros that were very fun and good food. There are more upscale shopping places but this was a very pleasant area. Barnes and Noble, Chicos, Sigrid Olsen, Lucky, Anthropologie and then a few boutiques with some more unique styles.First I was very pleased with the friendly staff. My room was very inviting and comfortable. The sitting area was comfortable and It had a great refrigerator and toaster and glasses etc. if you wanted to eat in or snack or entertain. The bed was incredible. Very supportive mattress yet with good cusioning. As a women I thought the bathroom complete with big shower and a spa bathtub was wonderful. I also appreciated the extra care in folding towels decoratively. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-07-30 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Caliente! RONALD, Tucson, AZ, 2006-07-09 Scottsdale Road and its amenities is 5 minutes away. Try Streets of New York for pizza and great local beer, rather that the popular place in downtown Scottsdale.Orange Tree 1 Bedroom suite was large. Nice spa in bath room. King bed was Temprapedic(sp?). Nice view of the Golf Course from patio/balcony. Staff very friendly both at hotel and golf shop. Golf rate was $49 for play, cart, lunch, and a sleeve of Pro V1s (or your choice of any premium ball in the shop). Course is parkland style, good condition and is very enjoyable in spite of the heat. Score 5 out of 5 Excellent Service NANCY, Dallas, TX, 2006-07-08 Check with front desk personel. They have great ideas of what's going on in the area.Staying at The Orange Tree Golf Resort has created a great family memory. Besides the well-kept, beautiful grounds, the nice view of the golf course, the large and comfortable room, and the spaces bathroom with huge garden, the staff was outstanding. From the minute we arrived, the staff seamed to go out of their way to make our stay a great one. The coinsurer, gave us great ideas for day trips in the area. She even helped us book an overnight stay with a round-trip train ride to the Grand Canyon. I have shown the pictures to several relatives, and they are now looking into booking at this Resort. The front desk personel recomonded a great steak-house in the Scottsdale area. Score 4 out of 5 Great for the price Amber, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-07-02 While this hotel was in need of some updating it was a great price and what a great deal to be on the golf course with a spa tub and a suite. However there were drawbacks there was little in room dinning choices and no pay per view movie options there is a vcr with realy old movies you can rent. The toliet never worked properly and took 6 hours and 3 calls to bell desk for some to look at it and when they did we were told oh just hold the handel until it flushes completely . But for what I paid I was more then pleased and would stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 Flash back to the 60's including room fee. Jane, 2006-06-18 We walked both mornings to our favorite bagel shop, Einstein's Also the Kierland Commons, with fabulous shops and bistros is a short drive to North Scottsdale.Older golf resort reminded my husband and I of what it must have been in it's day for the rich and famous: roomy suites, big bed lots of privacy with balcony and quiet environment. We felt like we were the only ones staying there! Nice vanity for the gals! Fridge and kitchenette with dishes, etc was a nice surprise! Bar with entertainment nightly was great if you don't want to leave the property. We don't even golf but we would go there again! Score 5 out of 5 my compliments to staff GORDON, Richmond, VA, 2006-06-08 from the employees at the desk to the maid service, they made my stay a pleasure. |
