Paying tribute to the original flavor of its classic mid-century design, Hotel Valley Ho reopened on December 20, 2005, as downtown Scottsdale's most exclusive luxury hotel. Originally a hideaway for Bogart, Bing and Marilyn, this Scottsdale hotel once again features spacious rooms with all-glass walls opening onto large private patios or balconies. New enhancements include the VH Spa (Vitality + Health) offering eight treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness facility for workouts overlooking the pool, a movement studio for private Yoga or exercise classes, music and massage in private cabanas, and dining at Cafe ZuZu, Trader Vic's, and the poolside Oh Pool Bar + Cabanas.
The Hotel Valley Ho swimming pool will be closed to guest use Monday, January 22nd between 9am-12:30pm? It will only be for the one day. Guests will be allowed access to the pool at our sister property, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain on this date. Thank you.

The hotel has been refurbished with modern accompliments. Rooms are a good size with good size patios. The bathroom had a separate bathtub (modern)and a shower stall. I only had breakfast each morning and they were great. In the downtown shopping ares, there is complementory bus service that runs very ten minutes with a pick-up location a block from the hotel. Score 2 out of 5 Review Edward, Seattle, WA, 2007-02-25 We expected much more luxury than was provided. This hotel was barely 3 star in our estimation, yet the price was in the 4 star category. Given the competition in Scottsdale, with their many resorts that are truly 4 and 5 star, this hotel did not begin to measure up. The staff, on the other hand, were very helpful and courteous. Score 5 out of 5 a great getaway Brent, 2007-02-24 The mall is large and busy. In the 5th Avenue shops you can find both cheap and very expensive art.The Hotel Valley Ho was a thoroughly wonderful experience for my wife and me. We went there on a quick weekend getaway from up north. The decor was fabulously delightful, and the service was the best. It is within a short walking distance to old Scottsdale, the big shopping mall, and more unique shops and eateries than we could ever have seen. The workout room has treadmills, elipticals, free weights, weight machines, and is very modern. The restaurant was a great place for breakfast. We would heartily endorse this for anyone who wants a memorable experience, both of decor and service. Score 5 out of 5 swanky special occation hotel Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-12-30 close to alot of good things to do in Scottsdale. The Hotel Valley Ho was a good experience. It was a beautiful room and we loved the mood lighting over the large tub. The bedding was odd. It had no sheets or a blanket, just a duvet comforter. We were kinda cold until the heater kicked in. The bathroom was luxurious and the t.v. was nice also. The price was outrageous and I doubt we will go there again for a night. It was a one time experience. Score 5 out of 5 Old Scottsdale Fave TED, Hartford, CT, 2006-11-24 Trader Vic's on the property. Did alot of room service and was very satisfied. The "Ho" is quite the place. A fine example of a 40's-50's Hollywood or Palm Springs hotel tastefully reinvented. Terrific curb appeal. Lighting, music, food top notch. Tall palms & manicured lawns. Never a blade of grass out of position. Mixed bag of guests. 20's & 30's type filled the spacious bar(WEEKENDS) that opened to a large patio with a fire pit, cool lobby with a very funky fireplace and retro furniture. Very comfortable. Stayed in a king cabanna room. Large deck, over sized chase, cafe table & chairs. Sit in that warm AZ sun. Plug your Ipod into the flat screen HGTV and enjoy. Several guests traveling with small dogs. The kitchen does a terrific job. They don't miss a beat! Check out the Granola & Fruit breakfast parfait......... "Old Scottsdale" is two blocks away. I'll be back in January. Yes, it's a little more than your average hotel, but well worth the experience! Score 5 out of 5 awesome retro style Kevin, Tampa, FL, 2006-08-01 The crowd was young and the pool was the place to be.You might want to book a room off the pool if you're looking for peace and quiet Otherwise party on!Hotel Valley Ho was fantastic! From the moment you arrive to complimentary valet parking it's like a throw back to the fabulous fifties including the ultra friendly atmosphere. But don't let the style fool you. From plasma TV to wireless internet access in the room this renovation weaves nostalgia with today's technology seamlessly. The pool, spa, restaurant and grounds are all impeccable.Don't miss trader vic's for an unforgettable dining experience. We'll be back!! Score 5 out of 5 SNEAKY WONDERFUL! Holly, Chicago, IL, 2006-07-12 Excellent Fashion Mall with a Nieman Marcus, Macy's, Dillards and many shops!Hotel Valley Ho has the best customer service from ALL their staff that I have ever experienced. The rooms were larger than most and the furniture was fitting with the 1950's and was clean, colorful and fun. The bedding was excellent with the down comforter and the bathroom was unbelievable. High Class sink, tub and shower made our visit even better. The pool area had huge circular seating that served at least 2 people. The pool bar personnel even brought you ice water - with no pressure to buy drinks! There is construction going on around the hotel - but don't let that fool you. You are in walking distance of Old Scottsdale and many many shops and art galleries. Score 5 out of 5 Business Conference Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2006-05-24 Hotel was great! The location is great too. My only disappointment was there is was ALOT or construction and renovation going on around the hotel and in the area in general. When all the construction in the area is done this will be a great stay. |
