Wells Fargo History Museum
Yes, this museum is small, and yes, it's run by the Wells Fargo Bank, but the collection of artifacts here goes a long way toward conjuring up the Wild West so familiar from Hollywood movies. Not only is there an original Wells Fargo stagecoach on display, but there are also gold nuggets to ogle, old photos from the real Wild West, and plenty of artifacts and memorabilia from the days of stagecoach travel. There are also original paintings by N. C. Wyeth and bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington and Charles Russell.

Pinal County Historical Museum
Before touring the town, stop in at this small museum to orient yourself and learn more about the history of the area. You can blame the presence of the prison for the macabre exhibit of hanging nooses and a gas-chamber chair. There's also a collection of Tom Mix memorabilia.

McFarland State Historic Park
This historic park consists of the former Pinal County Courthouse, which was built in 1878. Inside the old adobe building, you'll see some rooms that re-create the days when this was the courthouse and others that are furnished as they were when this was a hospital. Exhibits focus on local lynchings and Florence's World War II POW camp.

Convenient Location

A short drive to major chain stores such as Wal-Mart Supercentre. Easy access from I-10 and to Sky Harbour Airport.

A basic room with fridge and microwave. Traffic noise from I-10 in north-facing rooms; we changed rooms to the south side and had no problem with noise. Bathroom needed more counter top space; shower was great with ample water flow.

The motel was a short drive from downtown attractions like the state capitol and memorial park, the science center, and the art museum.

The Super 8 Motel--Phoenix I-10 was easy to get to from the Phoenix airport. The employees were friendly and helpful. There were restaurants close by. The breakfast eating area was small with only a couple tables, but there was a picnic table outside. People with rooms on the back side of the motel complained of noise from the interstate, but we heard none from our room. There was a refrigerator/freezer and a micro-wave oven in our room. Laundry facilities were available.

Its really close to the freeway and thats a plus since in Phoenix you need the freeway to go anywhere.

The Super 8 was comfortable. My husband and I liked it very much that it was quiet and not noisey like other places we have been too. We couldn't even here the noise from the cars and the freeway is close by. That was great. The only thing that we would have liked is that the channels said we could watch were actually visible. I'm not sure if they were having problem but this didn't interrupt our stay. The cigarette smell when you walked in wasn't very pleasing but we liked that the smell didn't get into the room. Overall our stay there was very satisfying.
