During your Phoenix vacation, don't miss these great establishments and attractions:
Hall of Flame Firefighting Museum
The world's largest firefighting museum houses a fascinating collection of vintage firetrucks. The displays date from a 1725 English hand pumper to several classic engines from the 20th century. All are beautifully restored and, of course, fire-engine red (mostly). In all, there are more than 90 vehicles on display.
Phoenix Art Museum
This is one of the largest art museums in the Southwest, and within its labyrinth of halls and galleries is a respectable collection that spans the major artistic movements from the Renaissance to the present. Exhibits cover decorative arts, historic fashions, Spanish-colonial furnishings and religious art, and, of course, works by members of the Cowboy Artists of America. The collection of modern and contemporary art is particularly good, with works by Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Georgia O'Keeffe, Henri Rousseau, and Auguste Rodin. The popular Thorne Miniature Collection consists of tiny rooms on a scale of 1 inch to 1 foot. Because this museum is so large, it frequently mounts traveling blockbuster exhibits.
Castles & Coasters
Located adjacent to Metrocenter, one of Arizona's largest shopping malls, this small amusement park boasts an impressive double-loop roller coaster, plenty of tamer rides, four 18-hole miniature-golf courses, and a huge pavilion full of video games.

Close to airport

This hotel was just fine, except the surrounding neighborhood was a little scary. The price was very expensive for the type of hotel.

Inconsiderate Staff

James, Newark, NJ, 2007-03-01

Day's Inn Pheonix Airport Location. For starter's the hotel check in process was very slow due to insufficient staff to check in quests. It took us 20 min. standing in a single line before being checked in. Last, the staff were unresponsive and rude. I would never stay at this hotel again.

The only detractor

Anonymous, 2006-11-19

The overall stay was enjoyable. The hotel is apparently located in a bad area of town. Didn't walk the streets around the hotel. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Too busy to care

Anonymous, Seattle, WA, 2006-10-24

The Days Inn Phoenix Airport location was unfriendly, nosy, and too busy to care about our immediate needs. We stayed in a non-smoking room, but the hotel's smoking rooms are located right across the hall. When we used our air conditioning in the room, it sucked in the air from a smoking room and filled our room with smoke and other not so pleasant smells. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The staff was not knowledgeable enough about their place of work.

Airport is close.

The hotel itself seems to be a bit older and the only difficult part of my stay was the fact that there were no elevators or ramps to go up to my room. I had to carry a heavy bag and didn't see porters anywhere. But not bad for the cost.

Enjoyed our stay

Victoria, Tucson, AZ, 2006-08-26

Near America West/US Air went to concert there. Hotel has a retro 50s style restaurant.

Enjoyed our stay at the Day's Inn Phoenix Airport very much as the people at the desk were very courteous and efficient and helpful with directions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were well-kept.

Linda, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-08-24

Was asked to sign waiver that they were not responsible for my vehicle while parked there and it was not in a secure parking or protected parking lot on Van Buren Street in Phoenix - the worst possible place. Hotel was very nice and my car was fine.

nice motel

Anonymous, Portland, OR, 2006-05-24

The Days Inn Phoenix airport is a clean and friendly motel. The room was very comfortable. There did not seem to be many other restaurants in the area, but the motel restaurant had good food.

ok for the price

Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-05-18

The Days inn Phoenix Airport was OK for the money and served the purpose we needed. It was close to the airport and had a 24 hour shuttle, which was of prime importance. It was quite difficult to find due to road construction (but that was not the hotel's fault). The beds were clean and we rested well.
