Only 3 miles to many Hot Springs dining locations and the Hot Springs National Park.The hotel has seen better days. The property needs renovation. Location was close to some recreation attractions. No place in bathroom to put anything. No counter at all. Old molded tile. Sink had been removed from bathroom and put outside bathroom door. Like I said NO counter at all. Had to plug my curling iron in bathroom and no place to lay it but floor. They also did not change sheets daily and had no signs telling you this. Our sheets had a black dot on them is how I knew this.Not a big deal to me. Maid did clean well though. Very large room. Hot Springs is a fun town, motel is a 2 or 3 mile drive and parking is a premium in the downtown district.The room was smelly, mildew on the mattres, and the bottom sheet did not cover the mattress. The blanket was full of hole. Requested a sheet to fit the bed and the staff said they had none despite the fact only 10 rooms were filled. Purchased lysol to disinfect the room and a candle for the smell. Mattress stained and dirty. Staff was not helpful and unfriendly. Price was $20 per night higher than at the hotel rate. We did not stay our second night despite the fact we could not cancel our reservation. Short drive into Hot Springs. Good starter location and then move into something near the lakes. |
