Plenty of different places to choose to eat at just across the street

I liked being located close to main roads. I travel alot now doing bass tournaments. Rooms were comfortable. Parking was very frustrating, not enough room for people who have bass boats.

Great amenities for longer stays

The wal-mart is about half a mile. As we all know they have anything you need.

The Sun Suites of Birmingham was a pleasant stay. a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee pot and dishes. the room was spacious and included a small dining table. walking or very short driving distance to just about any restaraunt or shopping you would need.

The Sun Suites was a very unfriendly and uncomfortable place to stay. We checked in late and was greeted by a security guard checking us in. The beds were hard as a rock, I ended staying up extremely late in the night, til 3 a.m. because of the noice and racket going on in the room up above us. I complained several times, there were no complimentary breakfast; which I was under the inpression there was. I also read that there were fresh towels but at the expense of the people staying in the room. The note mentioned that they came and changed those twice weekly.

There is a movies, and a gas station in walking distance it very nice

The Sun Suites make you feel like home, they have everything you need right in your room. I felt like I was at home, I will defintely be going back again.

Very disappointing

The photos make this place look good, but they're deceiving. The 'suites' are not even studios in size or amenities. The place was clean, but very 'tired', although the outside looks good. Reservation stipulated non-smoking, but we got a smoking room that smelled so bad not even a chain-smoker would've been able to take it. After complaining, our 'non-smoking room' was better, but still smelled pretty strongly of stale cigarette smoke. Room service (cleaning, linens) is non-existant unless you're there for a week or more (unless you pay extra). I also didn't like the requirement to pay all in full up front; if you depart early, there's no refund for early departure. Considering that the room rate was almost as much as places like the Clarion, Hilton Garden Inn, and Residence Inn across the street, but with NO amenities, or breakfast, or anything else, this is no value at all. With all the options available in this complex, this should be your last-ditch choice - it took a hurricane evacuation (Dennis) for me to stay here at all.

the hotel was not bad for the nightly rate however we werew not able to predict how long our stay was going to be due to the reason for our stay .. so we booked the room at the weekly rate anticipating that we may not be able to return home due to power outage.. fortunately we only had to stay 3 days and were able to return home .. the hotel would not refund any moneys paid in excess of what we stayed (the 4 extra days)I coud understand them possibly charging for an extra night but not 4
