They allow pets!

Close to the university and easy to get to

The Best Western/Auburn was great for my needs, I wanted a room that allowed pets and I needed a table so that I could set up my sewing machine and sew when not in orientation sessions at the university. The room was clean and neat.

Good overall, but needs maintenance

Frances, Milwaukee, WI, 2006-05-26

There were malls all along College St., and if you took Shug Jackson, it was a short drive to the stadium.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean, but the first room I checked into the door wouldn't latch. There was another lady checking in at the same time who was on her third attempt at using her room key, and finally had to switch to a room on the third floor. The gate to the pool was hard to open, and the fitness center was closed for repair. Also, the remote for my TV didn't work. The location was great, and everything else was fine.

Convenient, but...

Michael, Oakland, CA, 2006-04-20

For a wonderful lunch or dinner, try Hamilton's downtown. Very informal atmosphere with friendly, professional service from the youthful wait staff. Crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, seared ahi tuna, peppercorn pork loin, and great cheeseburgers are all good choices.

The Best Western University Convention Center was conveniently located a few blocks from downtown. The room however was a bit shabby and the bathroom was not maintained very well. There was a washcloth draped over the shower head to keep spray from hitting the ceiling and the washbasin was clogged with hair. The TV remote was missing rendering the TV useless and was finally replaced a few minutes before we checked out. The free continental breakfast consisted of coffee, small pastries, fruitloops from a dispenser, cellophane-wrapped sausage biscuits (unrefrigerated), and a selection of apples. This was available in a large brightly-lit room that seemed to be part of the meeting rooms area and the atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Auburn is a great town but I would check out the other hotel/motel options before staying here again.

Relaxed Vacation atmosphere

Thomas, Louisville, KY, 2006-03-14

The staff was very pleasant and treated you as if you were staying in their house. The dining was an excellent taste of southern foods. Just a over all great experience for the price.

COLLEGE TOWN HOTEL

JAMES, Mobile, AL, 2006-02-02

PLENTY OF NEARBY FAST FOOD RESTURANTS ALONG WITH DINNER RESTURANT CHAINS

THIS IS A COLLEGE TOWN HOTEL, FRONT DESK PERSONNEL VERY PROFESSIONAL, CLEAN ROOMS, TYPICAL CHAIN HOTEL WITH HIGHER THAN NORMALLY CLEAN ROOMS. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED.
