When I reported that the microwave (in my room) does not work, the front desk person told me that he does not have another one to replace it (without any attempting to see what he can help). The next day, I told the cleaning person (apparently they are all related) of my problem. He switched me to another room. Luckily they have plenty of rooms at that time. I stayed there for five days. On my fourth day, I asked if I need to, can I check out the next day at 12pm instead of 11am. The front day person told me that it will cost me more per hour. Even they have plenty of rooms available at the time. I never have this problem with any other hotels before. Otherwise the room got cleaned daily and is quiet since not many people there at the time. The room was very comfortable and it provided the space I needed for some unexpected company. The staff was very friendly and helpful in giving directions and sites to visit. I really enjoyed my stay and plan to use this location again and again. Score 4 out of 5 Very Clean and Comfortable Anonymous, 2005-11-01 The Cracker Barrel Restaurant in just down the street, as well as the usual fast food burger places for the kids!The Best Western Monticello Inn, in Montgomery, AL,was a very clean and comfortable one. I was amazed that my white socks were not dirty the next morning after I had walked all around the room the night before! Very different from other carpets at previous motels I have stayed at with higher rates! It was very convenient to getting on and off the interstate, as well as to many restaurants on the east side of Montgomery. And upon learning that they had no elevator, I had to request a room change to a first floor, and it was immediately done, with no problem at all by the desk clerk! And it was quiet! No noise from neighboring rooms at all. Score 5 out of 5 Good Location Anonymous, 2005-08-20 There are two movie complexes located in two different shopping malls a short drive from the motel. There is also a family friendly bowling alley called the BAMA Lanes nearby on the Atlanta Highway.CLose to downtown Montgomery with many good restaurants and shopping centers closeby. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Room accomdations clean and spacious. I would recommend the Best Western Monticello Inn to my family and friends. |
