Separate facilities include exercise rooms with weight machines, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment, massage, steam and sauna, tanning beds, dressing rooms and lounge.
Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Too Pricey Anonymous, 2007-02-16 Located downtown so lots of shopping in the area.Although this is a Premium hotel, I don't feel that you get your money's worth. Were charged extra for everything from using the pool to parking. The room was smallish, but did have a wonderful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but it still didn't seem worth the cost. We will go to a Moderate hotel next time. Score 4 out of 5 Glad we chose Capt. Cook Barbara, San Antonio, TX, 2006-08-19 The Sat/Sun Market was great, although it was the raining.Easy valet parking and concierge service. The Deluxe King was nice, but not very big. The Junior Suite was much better. Floors are designated smoking or non-smoking, which is nice. Internet service is wireless. The breakfast dining was slow in The Pantry, and didn't give an Alaskan experience; you could be dining in any city in U.S. by menu choices. The Crow's Nest was a great dining experience. Would stay here again. Score 4 out of 5 Great location and decor sharon, 2006-07-14 You can walk to all the shops and many of the local galleries and eating areas. The Cook was very convientent to all the down town tourist activities and great resteraunts. The decor was exceptional with a lot of paintings of Capt. Cooks journey including historical information. The room we had was overlooking the bay and the shops located on the lower level were smashing although expensive. I would stay here again. Score 2 out of 5 Needs updating Anonymous, 2005-07-28 Furnishings badly in need of updating. Bathroom is very old with a short shower and bad water pressure. I would expect more than a Comfort Inn type bathroom. Linens are ver rough. Score 2 out of 5 Updating is in order! Candee, Islip, NY, 2005-07-24 The Hilton is a few blocks away and offers a rooftop restaurant with a water view . The menu is reasonably priced with great vairiety including an Anchorage must - a reindeer hot dog.The Hotel Captain Cook is described by some as the best in Alaska. It may have been, but that was a long time ago. No air conditioning, dreary halls, and tired room decor left us wondering why we spent double the cost of a nearby national chain. To be fair, the restaurants were fine, and the staff well trained. A makeover may yet restore the hotel faded glory. Score 5 out of 5 A Great Place To Stay Charles, Anchorage, AK, 2005-05-08 This is the hotel you want to stay at in Anchorage. It is very nice and the staff was very courteous. I will definitely stay there again, my wife loved it. Score 5 out of 5 Great Location for business William, Salt Lake City, UT, 2005-04-28 My first visit to the hotel was great. The location not only has a great view, but is close to everything! |
