My Stay at westmark

WELL WHEN I ARRIVED THE STAFF WAS REAL FRIENDLY THEY HELPED ME VERY QUICKLY. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE HOTEL IS CLOSE TO THE MALL ON 5TH AVENUE ITS IN WALKING DISTANCE. THERE ARE RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY ALSO SO ITS VERY CONVENIENT IN ANCHORAGE ALASKA. THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE. I WAS SOMEWHAT DIS SATISFIED WITH HOUSEKEEPING AT THE START OF MY STAY. HOWEVER THEY CORRECTED THE MINOR PROBLEM AND THE ROOMS WERE CLEANED. ITS A GOOD PLACE TO REST AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. IM A FITNESS PERSON AND THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH FITNESS EQUIPMENT TO GET A GOOD WORK OUT GOING. HOWEVER THEY DO HAVE SOME WEIGHTS AND SOME TREAD MILLS. ITS OK..

Relaxed and friendly place

There is no Hotel transportation from the airport so travelers need to plan on an expensive taxi or car rental. Taxi costs about $20. The Hotel does have free parking on the same lot for guest parking.

This hotel was very convenient for my needs this trip,and cost effective for me as well. this was a business tripat my own expense,so $ are important. The room wss convenient,and quiet (c0nsidering that it is right downtown Anchorage] It was great fun and a very pleasant stay.

Good place to stay in downtown Anchorage.

Anchorage has several top notch restaurants near by. Do not miss Humpies, which has a great beer selection and excellent halibut tacos. It is a pub.

The Westmark Anchorage is centrally located in downtown Anchorage and a short walk to most downtown destinations including shopping and good restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was clean. The only downsides were the noise from the tour buses below our balcony (ask for a room on the south side or on the upper floors) and the inadequate breakfast buffet.
