Flights to Las Vegas will arrive at the McCarran International Airport (LAS). LAS is the primary airport for commercial Las Vegas flights. Individuals can purchase domestic and international air tickets to a variety of places across the world. There are a number of lounges here where passengers can purchase food and drinks while waiting for their flight. Moreover, there is the Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum Aviation Museum here for families to explore. Situated on the Level 2 Esplanade section of the airport, this museum offers an inside look into the history of Las Vegas aircraft. The museum is free to Las Vegas flight patrons 24-hours a day. There are also a number of art displays and a kid's play area to wring the energy out of the children before boarding a longer flight.

Las Vegas Weather

Las Vegas, located in the desert of Nevada, has a year-long dry climate. No matter what time during the year your flight is scheduled, the weather will be hot, dry, and breezy. From January to June, temperatures are between 60-100 degrees. From July to December, temperatures can go even higher. The summers in Las Vegas can be hot, but the city spends a fortune on air-conditioning. Many tourists plan flights to Las Vegas during the summer months. March, April, May, October, and November are good months to plan your travel to Las Vegas; temperatures during these months are in the high 60s / low 70s. The summer months are great for inexpensive prices on air fare and hotel accommodations, so save your money for purchasing water.

Getting Around Las Vegas

Depending on where you decide to stay in Las Vegas, getting around the area can be simple as walking or taking cab. After your Las Vegas flight arrives at the McCarran International Airport, you have the option of renting a car, taking a shuttle straight to the casino, or catching a cab. Certain flight packages to Las Vegas will include shuttle trips to and from the airport, often supplied by the hotel. The CAT bus system is also a viable transportation option for individuals that want to have a way to travel up and down the Las Vegas Strip without having to walk. The two main bus routes that service the strip are the #301 and #302 bus lines. Bus fare is $2.00 per travel.
