Cheap Dallas Flights

There are two airports located near the city where flights to Dallas will arrive (besides private jet facilities and regional airports). The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is where the majority of Dallas flights originate. It is the fourth-busiest airport in the world with multiple flights daily from carriers such as American Airlines, United Airlines, British Airways, and Northwest Airlines. You will find two hotels within the airport for convenience. Love Field (DAL) is another small airport just minutes from downtown and only handles flights to Dallas from other U.S. cities. If you are flying from out of the country, you can get a connecting flight from another city into Love Field. It is just seven minutes from downtown and only has three terminals. It is not nearly as busy as DFW, which can be a benefit for long-distance travelers hoping to avoid delays caused by crowds.

Dallas Weather

Dallas weather is hot in the summer and mild in the winter with hardly any snow and less rain than the average United States city. The climate is humid and subtropical with the rainiest weather of the year in April and May, followed by the driest months in July and August. The best time to visit Dallas is either in the spring or autumn. Spring temperatures are generally mild, but you may occasionally see heavy thunderstorms or even a tornado since the city lies just south of the Great Plains where tornadoes are frequent. While visiting with flights to Dallas, you will likely enjoy sunshine regardless what time of year it is.

Getting Around Dallas

Visitors arriving on Dallas flights will appreciate the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), which will take them all over the city to enjoy attractions and shopping. It also connects to Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to take them to outlying areas. TRE also takes them between the airport and the city so they can reach their hotel easily. Enjoy a taste of history with a ride on the M-Line streetcar; it connects the Uptown neighborhood with the downtown Arts District. You will also find plenty of taxis if you do not want to figure out the transit schedule. There are also cars for hire if you prefer to be more independent though drivers often travel fast and visitors can have a hard time keeping up.

Dallas Attractions

You will find something for everyone with history, culture, and adventure mixed-in to every visitor arriving on Dallas Flights

  • Dallas World Aquarium: travel through a rainforest to get a look at the natural flora and fauna along dozens sea creatures
  • Sixth Floor Museum: details of the city's darkest hour with the John F. Kennedy Memorial
  • Dallas Heritage Museum: a living history museum that tells the story of life in Dallas in the nineteenth century
  • Meadows Museum: the largest collection of Spanish art outside of Spain
