Cheap Bangkok Flights

Bangkok, Thailand has two main airports, each of which receive flights to Bangkok. The Bangkok International Airport (DMK) reopened for normal operations since March 2012 after temporarily closing when Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) officially opened. BKK is the main airport and DMK exists to ease the busy Bangkok airspace. Taxis are available from DMK while BBK offers shuttle services, taxis, car rentals, airport limousines, public buses, or the airport rail link to deliver passengers from Bangkok flights to their destinations. The airport express will transport you to the city in about 15 minutes. BKK is conveniently located approximately 19 miles from Downtown Bangkok and even operates a 600 room hotel right at the airport.

Bangkok Weather

Located just north of the equator, Bangkok is one of the world’s warmest cities—sunny throughout the year with temperatures above 85 degrees. November to February is the cooler season and the best time to schedule flights to Bangkok. The hottest season is from March to April, where tourists seek shelter in air-conditioned malls and hotels. The rain fall from May to October can sometimes fall quite heavily, especially in September. Dress lightly for your trip to Bangkok and be sure to drink a lot of fluids while you’re there.

Getting Around Bangkok

Bangkok is popular with tourists and has a variety of travel options available to explore its colorful streets and secrets. The BTS Skytrain covers most of Downtown and is quite convenient, zipping all around the city. Coming from their flights to Bangkok, tourists use the Skytrain more than the metro, but there are some useful stops—the newest addition being the Airport Rail Link. A ride on the river boats is a cool way to get from point-to-point, and motorcycle taxis (tuk tuks) are available as a comfortable way to travel fast around town, along with BMTA buses.
