All flights leading out of Puerto Iguazu are handled by the Iguazu Falls International Airport, also known as Aeropuerto Internacional de las Cataratas del Iguazú. It is approximately 12.4 miles from the city and is about 4.3 miles from the world renowned Iguazu Falls. The airport is the hub for Aerolineas Argentinas, Austral Lineas Aereas, Andes Lineas Aereas and LAN Chile.
Parking at the Airport
Iguazu Airport has more than 70 open-air parking spaces and several reserved spaces for handicapped parking. The first 15 minutes of parking is free. After that, parking fees apply and are charged by the hour or by the day.
Transportation to the Airport
Public transport buses cannot enter the airport, leaving travelers departing from Iguazu Fall International Airport with two options: private shuttle buses and remises, which are private taxis. Four Travel Buses operate shuttles that run to and from the airport and the hotel. Bus fares start at ARS 12, and this is considered a cheap transport mode compared to remises, which can start at ARS 40 from the center of the city to the airport. While you can rent a car and choose a curbside drop-off to the airport, the rental charge is quite expensive.
Restaurants at the Airport
While the airport is relatively small, it does have snack bars and restaurants. Delicity is located at the ground floor near the arrivals area, while La Strada is in the first floor near the departure area.
