Travelers arriving from New York City to Seoul will arrive at the Incheon International Airport, which is located 30 miles west of downtown Seoul. The Incheon International Airport Railroad is located next to the main airport terminal and provides inexpensive, high-speed transportation to various locations in the city. The rail system provides connections to the Seoul subway system. Car rental agencies are located in the area, and taxi services are also available, although reservations are recommended. A ferry service connects Yeongjong-do to the mainland, but transportation to the dock is necessary.

Seoul features a humid subtropical climate. August is the warmest month, with average temperatures around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. January is the coldest month, with overnight lows dropping into the low 20s. The city experiences heavy rainfall every month, but the majority falls during the monsoon season, between June and September.

Visitors to Seoul can choose from a wide variety of things to do and see. The National Museum of Korea is the largest museum in the country. It has more than 220,000 objects in its collection, and admission is free. The Bukhansan National Park is located approximately 10 miles from the city center. It is the perfect place to go to relax and get away from the crowds. Hike along the ridgeline and take a picnic lunch. The North Seoul Tower is located in Namsan Park. The tower stands close to 1,500 feet above sea level.
