Sky Harbor offers a free 24-hour shuttle service to the METRO light rail station located on 44th St. and Washington. The service runs every 12 to 20 minutes, mirroring the light-rail schedule. If you've rented a car, the car rental center provides shuttle service from the baggage claim curb to the car rental center at 5 to 10-minute intervals. Three taxi companies also provide transportation from the airport at fixed rates. Six limousine companies provide walk-up service, and several hotels also offer their own shuttle transportation. Check with your hotel at the courtesy desk located in the baggage claim area.
The weather in Phoenix during the summer months can be extremely harsh, with temperatures often hitting 102Â°F in July. If you're a summer visitor, be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen and light clothing. One of the best times to visit Phoenix is from February to April. Temperatures are mild, ranging in the 70s to mid-80s during the day, and hotels are often offered at cheaper rates.
