Flights to Seattle

Ketchikan International Airport

It's simple to find cheap flights from Ketchikan, Alaska with Orbitz.com. Orbitz.com can help you find flights aboard Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, or American Airlines, which are the three major airlines serving the airport in Ketchikan. Ketchikan International Airport is located on Gravina Island, just off shore from Ketchikan.

Parking at the Airport

Parking at the airport is $4.50 for each 24-hour period. All vehicles parked at the airport for more than two hours are charged for a full day of parking. Monthly passes are also available if you use the airport parking facilities on a regular basis.

Getting to the Airport

The easiest way to travel to the airport is via the airport ferry that provides transportation from nearby Ketchikan to Ketchikan International Airport. The fare is $5 for each adult and $6 for a personal automobile. Water taxis are available for passengers without vehicles. You cannot drive from the airport to the mainland. Construction of a proposed three-mile bridge that would have connected Gravina Island to Ketchikan was cancelled, leaving travelers with no road access to the airport.

Dining at the Airport

The Airport Lounge and Snack Bar offers light snacks and drinks for passengers waiting for their flights to begin boarding. Check flight departure times and book cheap flights from Ketchikan on Orbitz.com, and be sure to arrive at the airport about an hour in advance to secure your seat on the plane.

Seattle Airport Information

The primary airport is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, more commonly known as Sea-Tac, located roughly 15 miles south of downtown Seattle. The Boeing Field-King County International Airport is less than 10 miles south of the city, but flights into this airport are generally more limited and a bit more expensive.

Ground Transportation in Seattle

You will have several public transportation options once you land in Seattle, including Link Light Rail and King County Metro Transit. There are also public taxis, share-a-ride shuttles and private car services ready to bring you to your final destination. Expect to pay a fare of between $35 and $45 from Sea-Tac into downtown Seattle, and roughly half of that from the Boeing Field airport. Use Orbitz.com to plan your trip, and you will be able to either rent a car or choose a hotel that has free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Seattle Weather Information

Seattle has a mild climate, with winter temperatures usually ranging from the mid-30s to the mid-40s and summer temperatures that rarely go above the mid-70s.
