Flying Out of Corfu International Airport
Flights from Corfu, Greece, originate from a small hub with two names. Called either Corfu International Airport or Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport, Corfu's airport is the airport of choice for people flying Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines or Airsea Lines. Corfu International is located about two miles from downtown Corfu on Route 25. Direct flights to the airport are easiest to find in the warm weather months but become scarce during the winter.
Parking at Corfu International
It shouldn't be hard to find a spot to park at the airport. All 120 parking spaces are free of charge. In fact, cars are allowed to park anywhere near the airport as long traffic is not impeded. Corfu International also provides special parking spaces for the disabled.
Getting to the Airport
There are a few options to get to Corfu International in time for your flight. A taxi from the center of Corfu would take 10 minutes and cost about $15, depending on exchange rates that day. A bus from town can take you to the airport as well. The 10-minute trip will run you about $6. You can also return your rental car to the counters within the terminal. Schedule the drop-off when you book your vacation on Orbitz.com for fast processing.
Eating before Take-off
Corfu International offers a few options for breakfast and coffee before the early air travel begins. However, you can get your fill at a full-service restaurant before leaving town. Find breakfast and brunch at Jeni's Mediterranean Café. It is the most popular place to get a Greek breakfast before leaving Corfu. Let Orbitz.com handle your flights from Corfu, so you can have time to enjoy every last second in Greece.
