Jet City Pizza
For top-quality pizza, grinders and calzone delivered to your door with chain-store promptness, this gourmet spot is the way to go. Pizzas are available in 13- and 15-inch sizes, with toppings ranging from standard pepperoni to smoked oysters. Unusual specialties include the Brewery Combo ($14.99/$17.99), with three spicy meats plus onions, cashews and jalapenos. With salads, hot wings, pasta dinners ($6.99) and group discounts, this is a fast and tasty way to provide dinner for a crowd. Check Web site for additional locations.
Olympia Pizza and Spaghetti House
This local restaurant chain tosses pizzas and pastas in unoriginal Italian-American style, but it elected to give itself a Greek name. Well, there is a Greek Salad on the menu with feta cheese and kalamata olives, but other than that, it's pastas, minestrone, meatball sandwiches and the like. All of the substantial food is fine, and the pizzas make great takeout. Dinner prices are reasonable, even with drinks. There are additional outlets on Queen Anne (+1 206 285 5550) and in Wallingford (4501 Interlake North; +1 206 633 3655).
Mediterranean Kitchen
In this hopping section of lower Queen Anne Hill, this small chain of three restaurants serves up delicious Mediterranean fare. This is really a hole-in-the wall with uncomfortable chairs and glaring lights. Put that aside, though, and focus on the healthy and delicious food. The food is heavy in vegetables and garlic with quite a few vegetarian dishes available. Expect to see traditional starters including hummus and baba gahnoush, and entrees like cous cous, falafel, and chicken or beef shawarma.

Seattle area, including:
West Galer Place Bed and Breakfast
This quaint bed-and-breakfast has four guest rooms in the main house and four next door that are designated for long-term rental. With names such as "The Cherry Blossom Room" and "The Rose Room," it's no surprise that these pretty rooms feature rustic, floral decor. Most rooms have private baths, and some have televisions and VCRs. The location in Queen Anne is ideal for exploring the neighborhood, with easy access to downtown and the waterfront.
Buchanan Inn (The)
Just a short and visually spectacular ferry ride across the sound from Seattle lies Bainbridge Island, on which you will find this tremendously stylish and romantic little treasure. The four recently redecorated bedrooms in the 1912 bed-and-breakfast are furnished with what appear to be museum-quality antiques. Owners Ron and Judy Gibbs are masters at the art of making you feel welcome and comfortable, and the serenity and delicate quiet of Bainbridge Island enhance the atmosphere.
Hotel Monaco
In 1997, $29 million went into the renovation of this 11-story building, transforming a Pacific Northwest Bell switching facility into a luxurious boutique-style hotel. The 189 rooms, including 45 suites, have the feel of a fine English bed-and-breakfast. Despite the hotel's romantic feel, business travelers will also feel right at home because every room has a fax machine, two data ports and plenty of desk space. The hotel offers room service and has a fine dining restaurant, Sazerac, downstairs. Enjoy complimentary wine service, evenings.
