Pasta with homemade tomato sauce and the "made from scratch" calzones are favorites as well. Daily lunch specials, salads and hot wings round out the menu. Beer and wine are available. Outside, a patio houses several marble topped dining tables, while inside a selection of reading material is available for your perusal.
Billy Joe's Bar-B-Que
This place's slogan "Hot, Sweet & Sticky" covers the bases. Slow-cooked versions of meat including chicken, beef brisket, pork ribs, pork tenderloin, ham and turkey are offered. Sample the smoky wares in sandwich form, or go for dinners with Texas toast or corn bread. Large, family-sized meals are available, including the "Grab and Go," packed in re-heat-able containers ($7.95-13.95) "Buckets of Bones" are huge orders of wings, chicken or ribs with sides and bread ($12.95-59.95). Sandwiches range $4-6; dinners $8-12; combo dinners $10-12. Piano entertainment is provided Thursdays through Saturdays.
Molinari's Pizza & Wings
Serving Phoenix for more than 15 years, this place offers pizza at a nominal price. It is also notorious for its "suicide hot" spicy chicken wings. Salads, appetizers and generous pasta plates make up the rest of the menu. A picture of Marlon Brando, seated on his motorcycle and clothed in his "Wild One" ensemble, sets the tone for this pleasant pizzeria. Checkered tablecloths and great photos of vintage cars and other 1950s movie idols complete the decor. Call for additional locations.
