During your Las Vegas vacation, don't miss these great establishments and attractions:
Range Steakhouse (The)
Located inside Harrah's Hotel, this fine eatery has been voted "Best Steakhouse" by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Enjoy a view of the Strip and the likes of a 20-ounce New York Steak served with pistachio salsa butter. For dessert, the Sweet Potato Pecan Pie and Range Cheesecake are exceptional selections, but the Campfire Chocolate Cake with fresh raspberries and honey tuille cactus is unforgettable. Complete cocktail service is available.
Postrio
Another Las Vegas hit for restaurateur Wolfgang Puck, this place mixes Mediterranean cooking with Asian cuisine and adds a bit of Spago cooking. Freshly baked breads start off the meal, as well as wonderful appetizers. For an entree, try the famous wood-fired pizzas or the more exotic quail with spinach. The lamb chops are also exquisite. Two options include the relaxed bistro cafe or a dining room for more formal meals. Both restaurants feature complete wine and bar services. Located inside the Venetian Hotel.
J.C. Wooloughan
This is an authentic Irish pub, in the truest sense; manufactured in Ireland, dismantled and reassembled here at the Marriot. Live Irish music is featured here several nights a week. Appetizers range from potato leek soup to savory pork pie, and run between USD3.75-USD7.25. The Irish stew is delightful, and the Beef and Guinness Pie is rich and filling. Corned Beef and Cabbage is served with a creamy parsley sauce and potato pancakes. Irish coffees are available, as are four Irish-brewed beers and 14 Irish whiskeys.

Las Vegas area, including:
Jackie Gaughan's Plaza Hotel
This hotel is located at "the beginning" of the Fremont Street Experience, on the site of the old Union Railroad Depot. Known as Union Plaza when first built in 1971, it was one of the first skyscrapers in downtown Las Vegas. It has been the scene of many a famous Hollywood car chase. The Center Stage Restaurant, on top of the porte cochere and overlooking Fremont Street, is another landmark and excellent eatery with an amazing view.
Arizona Charlie's Decatur
This lively casino claims to be "the friendliest and most liberal in town," and it might be right. Slot machines galore and a myriad of table games provide plenty of action. The attractive guest rooms are decorated in soothing colors for your complete relaxation. Mini and Penthouse Suites offer Jacuzzi tubs and are on a privately keyed floor. Several restaurants include the Yukon Grille for steaks and seafood, China Charlie's and the Sourdough Cafe with round-the-clock dining. The Naughty Ladies Lounge has fine live entertainment Tuesday through Sunday nights.
Tropicana Hotel Casino
This hotel was appropriately christened the "Tiffany of the Strip" when it was built in 1957 on the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevards. At that time it was truly an island, surrounded by a vast expanse of desert. Now that same location is considered one of the hottest in Las Vegas. Newly remodeled rooms in the Paradise Tower feature king beds or two queens, all with spectacular views. Jacuzzi suites are also available. The resort has a five-acre water park, with lagoons, spas and waterfalls. It even has the city's only "swim-up" blackjack table. There is also a Wildlife Walk with tropical birds and other animals in their natural settings.
