Just across from the Mississippi River, this lovely inn was once an 1893 window shade and blind company; it was converted into an inn in the 1970s. This older, plain facility is a good bet for families on a tight budget -- the affordable inn features basic but comfortable accommodations. All of the city's downtown attractions are less than a mile away and an indoor pool means there's always something fun to do, whatever the weather. Radisson Riverfront St. Paul
Located downtown, overlooking the Mississippi River, the Radisson is topped by the Twin Cities' only revolving restaurant. The hotel's second-floor patio offers a nice river view, and the majority of the comfortable guest rooms offer views as well. Make sure to request an upper or corner room -- the others tend to be noisy.
