Grapevine Restaurant
Fresh floral arrangements and white linens adorn the tables and a fresh variety of dinner choices grace the menu. Dishes are somewhat seasonal, with a Mediterranean and Asian appeal. The pork tamale is among the most popular dishes, as is the tenderloin steak and roast duck. The sauces are light and flavorful, adding to the delicate, delicious flavor of each dish. The restaurant is owned and operated by chef Bill Oblock, who pays attention to each small detail in preparation and presentation.
Mi Casita
This little Mexican restaurant, tucked into a downtown neighborhood, boasts an enormous menu with 51 different plates available to its patrons. Carnacada and crab enchiladas (made with real crab) are among its most-ordered meals. Veggie burritos are also a big hit. Although the establishment seems rather unassuming, loyal patrons have been enjoying the cuisine here for nearly two decades. Specials range from $8-10, or order a la carte for around $6. No alcohol is served here.
Residence Inn City Center
This 1996 Marriott property offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom rooms, all with full kitchens. The comfortable rooms open from interior corridors. The lobby is decorated with tapestry wall hangings and tapestry couches. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served daily; a complimentary light dinner buffet is served Monday-Thursday. Goldener Hirsch Inn
This beautiful, small European inn is modeled after the Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria. Each room is unique in theme and design, and is furnished with down comforters and hand-carved, hand-painted furniture imported from Austria. This elegant 50-year-old lodge is perfectly situated in the Wasatch National Forest. Forty minutes from the Salt Lake airport, the lodge combines luxury with good old-fashioned cabin decor. A total of 87 rooms, from dorms to suites, are available. All rooms feature refrigerators. A library and conference rooms are also available.
