OVERVIEW
Charles Lindbergh departed from here to New York to begin his historic non-stop solo flight to Paris on May 12, 1927. In April 2006, Lambert opened its first new runway in a half-century, a move expected to significantly cut down on delays.

PARKING
Cheapest: The best bargain for long-term parking is in the Super Park Economy, where regular parking costs $5 a day and shuttles to the terminal run every 10 minutes. Check here for parking coupons.
Most convenient: Garage parking costs $1 per half-hour, or $18 per day.

Security: STL will restrict parking within 300 feet of the terminals when the U.S. government deems the nationals security risk "severe" or "high." Current risk level.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Rail: A Metrolink light-rail stop is located on the Main Terminal's upper level at Exit MT2 and the East Terminal through the parking garage on all levels. The fare for a one-ride ticket from the airport is $3.50 for adults, $1.75 for seniors and children ages 5 to 12, and free for children under 5. Rides between the East and Main terminals are free.
Shuttle/Limo: Trans Express Shuttle offers shared van service to downtown hotels for $15 one way and $25 round-trip; get tickets and board the Main Terminal (Exit MT12) and East Terminal (Exit ET12). For more info, call 800-844-1985.
Cab: A taxi ride to downtown St. Louis costs about $36 for one passenger. Board at Main Terminal (Exit MT12 -- yellow level of garage and East Terminal (Exit ET12).

GETTING AROUND THE AIRPORT

Catch free shuttles, which operate between Lambert's two terminals, at Exit MT12 of the Main terminal and Exit ET12 of the East Terminal. MetroLink rail also runs free between the terminals. Moving walkways also operate through Concourse D.

ATMs: Several ATMs are located on the lower levels of the Main and East Terminals. US Bank, a full service bank and foreign currency exchange, is located on the lower level of main terminal, just past the escalator near Lindbergh's monocoupe airplane. 314-426-0044.
Pets: If you are traveling with your pet, there are grassy areas outside exit MT11 at the Main Terminal and outside exit ET15 of the East Terminal.
