Finally, some legroom
Do you dream of what a one passenger flight would be like? A Delta flight this week gave new meaning to the term flying solo. According to CNN, a long-delayed flight from Cleveland to New York moved so many passengers to an alternating flight that it left just one passenger—Chris O’Leary of New York City—remaining. At the very last minute, a second passenger jumped on board. Bet you anything, they still made them check their carryons.

Dodging a bullet (or two)
Want to pay to get shot? According to Yahoo! Travel, you can at “the border-crossing experience” which happens every Saturday nightat an amusement park in Hidalgo, Mexico. The “Caminita Nocturna” simulates the dangers of crossing illegally into the U.S. as a means to dissuade local residents from making the illegal trek. Sure sounds a lot more fun then Montezuma’s Revenge.

Love to love you, baby
Ever fall in love with a fellow wanderer or sexy local while traveling? According to Paste magazine, lots of people fall in love while traveling in part because we expand our capacity for adventure while traveling and also because the stress and excitement of a trip cause our bodies to release adrenaline which brings people closer together. That explains the Mile High Club.

Gimme shelter
Want to check out of your next hotel with a new four-legged friend in tow? According to the Daily Mail, you can do just that at the Asheville, NC outpost of the aloft boutique hotel chain where guests are greeted upon arrival by shelter dogs sporting yellow vests that read ‘Adopt Me.’ We also think the hotel should offer in-room treats for Fido which you can nab out of the mini bark.

A capital idea
The most fun state capital to visit is…Carson City, Nevada. According to the Reno-Gazette this week, the Silver State seat of government was named the nation’s best via a poll conducted by USA Today. Other winners include Juneau, Alaska and Boise, Idaho. Although most Americans can’t name their own state’s capital, perhaps a visit to one will inspire them to vote once in awhile.
