New York City prides itself on being the first at everything, so it burns a bit that so many cities — even U.S. ones! — have successfully instituted “bikeshare” programs. Well, the Big Apple is about to catch up in a major way: Citi Bike debuts in August with 7,000 bikes at 420 stations, with those numbers eventually growing to 10,000 bikes at 600 stations. Las Vegas is the latest U.S. airport to unveil a brand-new terminal building, as well as a slew of terminal and service changes. As vacation time rolls around and people find out I’ll be going away, the question becomes inevitable.  “Why are you going back to Walt Disney World again?”  It’s obvious: For thousands of us who grew up making our best childhood memories in the land of the mouse, the urge to return tugs on our heart strings. And secondly, Walt Disney World Walt Disney World Resort is always changing. Walt Disney himself insisted that the parks would never be finished; innovation and new attractions were part of his original blueprint. And so it’s a no-brainer that I’d want to check out  Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the newest (and one of the most whimsical) of more than two dozen on-property resorts. (more…)

Paul Mitchell has checked in. Last month, four different Marriott International brands — including Courtyard by Marriott, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites — introduced the famed haircare brand at more than 2,000 locations. It’s the first time that John Paul Mitchell Systems has partnered with a hotel company — and the first time that travelers will be able to indulge in the company’s well-known products (including Awapuhi Shampoo, The Detangler, Tea Tree Lemon Sage Body Lotion and Wash) for free in their hotel bathroom.
