Beautiful property ! Slightly disappointed in the lack of sea , too shallow and sectioned off . Service wasn’t not what we expected from a five star hotel . Many of the workers weren’t friendly and didn’t acknowledge us standing right in front of them . Some staff were excellent though !

The only issue that was dissatisfying was the check in process. I reserved 2 rooms with double beds in January. We had an early arrival. The hotel would not accommodate our party of 4 with the rooms requested because i booked via 3rd party we were not treated fairly. After 3hrs of waiting for our rooms, we were only able to get one room with double beds and one king. we were told to stop by the next morning to see if another double bed had opened up.

Our stay started with the hotel giving us a room lesser than what we booked which wasn't even properly cleaned. They corrected our room, however, the room we received had a balcony that was not usable. There were several birds which defecated all over the balcony including out clothing we left to dry on the drying rack provided. We asked several times for the balcony to be cleaned and it never was. Regardless, we were unable to use the balcony because the birds were overwhelming and nothing would deter them. This was disappointing as we paid for an ocean view that we could not enjoy. Overall the property wasn't very clean, the food was terrible, and most of the staff just seemed to be there because they had to be. I will give credit to the actives staff who were fun and engaging. The spa treatments were also nice. Our trip ended poorly when we enquired if they would cover the cost of cleaning our clothes from the balcony ($25). Guest relations and their supervisor were anything but helpful and told us there was no report so they couldn't help us. They also told us it was our responsibility to report the issue to a group called employee relations. We spoke to 4 people about this issue during our stay and none of them told us we needed to do that. Guest relations then said it was our failure that a report wasn't made by the 4 staff who we reported our issue to and we should have know to go to employee relations. Needless to say, we will never go back.

We had an awesome time at Lopesan. It is beautiful, it is huge and there is something for everyone. The service was excellent as the staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. Would definitely recommend!! Ohh and the food options are endless and delicious.

The propery lacks instructions on hallway. The alcoholic drinks were watery.

Lopesan is a newer resort with beautiful grounds and a gorgeous pool. However, we were disappointed by key features, including the service, beach, and amenities. The service at Lopesan was lacking on many levels. Generally unfriendly or indifferent bartenders, waiters, and cleaning people are found at all restaurants, bars, with some exceptions from a friendly few servers. The A La Carte restaurants were hit or miss. The Mexican restaurant El Charro is very good, while the Asian and Italian restaurants aren’t great. Food came out wrong multiple times. The buffets were very good with a fresh grill and plenty of options, though the staff is generally inattentive and plates were left on our table through the whole meal. The pools are beautiful and large. Get spots early because people will drop towels and claim chairs by 8am. The beach itself is nice, but the ocean leaves a lot to be desired. There is a very narrow swimming area, and the water gets deep quick, so you can’t go for a leisurely swim because everybody is crammed on a small slice of water. Also, there is a marina outside the swimming area, so your view of the sea is cluttered with boats right off the shore and you’ll smell gasoline frequently. There are lots of amenities, like a gym, water park, kids club, theater and shops, but they’re far from the beach so we didn’t go often. All in all, it’s a good place to bring a family, you’ll have fun, and it’s not too expensive. Just don’t expect “perfect”

Not quite a 5 star resort but overall it was a pleasant experience. I traveled as a family of 4 with two kids under 5. There’s plenty to keep the kids busy and entertained. The main buffet (Atlantico) was a decent place for breakfast and lunch. They also have a beach side buffet but it has limited food selection and not the most sanitary. The place is huge and certainly has potential but it they need to do a better job keeping up with the maintenance of the property. Boulevard is a great area for shops and entertainment. Our room was comfortable. The staff was awesome. My biggest issue with the property is that there’s only 1 towel bar for the entire property and the long walk to boulevard/the kids water park.

The property is wonderful, clean, neat. The workers are very kind and attentive. The pool and the beach amazing. The food is good enough. The room is spacious and very nice. The only thing that I would say is bring your sunscreen because it’s very expensive in the resort. We paid $37 for a small bottle of sunscreen.

Obligated to buy two rooms, told them from the beginning I needed them to be together, got to the hotel rooms were in different floors and the receptionist was rude and not cooperating. The room smelled humid, the plugs wouldnt work and even a part of the ceiling felt and started to drip water. Got a new room but still smelled like humidity at its maximum. Staff was always upset or rude. Managers treated employees really bad. Not a lot to do at night, lack of music and activities. Restaurant service was bad at accommodations and the service, some restaurants were disorganized. Overall I would never go back

Great pool and beautiful upscale property

The property is absolutely beautiful and large. I was worried about the one main pool but there are other pools so it never got crowded. Staff deserve an A because service was always phenomenal. My television was damaged and I complained and they said yeah we’ll send someone to take a look. I assumed suuuureee they will. Someone came and replaced the entire television within an hour. Good for them…we also needed candles and a lighter for my dads birthday and they provided us with that too. The beach is very well lit at night which I love but there is sooo much seaweed that it’s hard to enjoy the beach. I guess this is the issue since we went in august and it’s very common for the area. Staff was constantly picking up seaweed in truck loads throughout the day which I appreciated but it didn’t help. Food is delicious here even the buffet! Many options! I wish the nightlight and activities were better. They don’t do many night shows and there’s no club, just a lounge. My stay was still beautiful. Definitely recommended
