A great hotel to stay in Nice! Would book it for my next trip back to Nice.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location close to restaurants, shopping, and the train station (for easy train travel to other Côte d’Azur towns). I picked the right place!
Had a lovely visit at this hotel. The windows in my room had lovely views. I especially loved the sliding door in the bathroom that looked our on the church steeple and the town. My room was ver late and open but cozy. The hotel stairs are beautiful large slabs of (carrera?) marble. I was told that they are from the original construction of the building. It would have been nice to have information available about the history of the hotel. The hotel location was great. close to the train to the airport. Walking distance to restaurants on the shore, upscale shopping and organic coops. Lovely mixture of old and new. I was traveling alone and felt comfortable walking. I do not recommend walking to the Chagall museum. There are pockets of seedy areas in that end of town. The staff was very cordial and professional. My only negative comment is some of the furniture in the lobby was a little motley but the deco style was very appealing especially for the architecture of the building. It would have been nice to have historical information about the building available.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was very spacious and comfortable for our needs, bathroom was just as large with a waterfall shower and a small balcony attached. Everything was perfectly clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Located in a good neighborhood, within walking distance to the main strip that has several dining and shopping options. We were able to walk all the way to the beach, though it was quite a walk. There is a metro nearby for others who would prefer public transport. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, even allowing us to check in early. Breakfast was sufficient with plenty of options for everyone. We would definitely stay here again!
Location is ok. Room is lacking and uncomfortable. Bed is low to the ground. Walls are thin and the room is noisy. Photos on the site make it look much nicer than it is. Elevator is to small for 2 people with luggage and we waited almost 20 minutes for it because housekeeping had it propped open

Our room and bathroom were very good size. The room was very clean. The location is very good and the service from desk was excellent. We would stay here again.
I stayed two nights at the Hotel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo and it was perfect for me. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, room was cleaned perfectly. The area felt very safe and all necessary amenities were in the room (fridge, safe, coffee maker, toiletries and hair dryer, tv with stations in several languages. Wifi was free and worked fine.) Location cannot be beat... walkable to everything. The direct tram line to the airport (euros 1.50) is just minutes walk up Victor Hugo toward Jean Medecin, the main shopping street. There are restaurants nearby and a grocery store around the corner. I would highly recommend this hotel as a decently priced hotel and will definitely book again if I return to Nice. Perfect in every way.
Centrally located, very clean and modern. The only disadvantage is not much space for a luggage in the room. Other than that excellent hotel.
Reviews get it confused with the other Victor Hugo Hotel. THis one is a 6 story property, on VIctor Hugo Blvd. Very convenient to Tram #2, less than a 10 minute walk with suitcases. Room was very large, AC worked great. Housekeeping did a great job. Our room included breakfast, continental with breads, cheeses, cereal and juice, tea and coffee. Yogurt runs out in the morning. Eggs a bit watery. But enough of a meal to get the day going. Only one lift and its very very slow! Also, only big enough for 3 people, or one person with a large suitcase, so you have to a wait long time to get to top floors. I would recommend for location, although construction right outside and it starts early in the morning.
We only stayed one night but the hotel is very charming. Received a corner room with a beautiful view of the church across the street. My only complaint would be the slow small elevator. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect to the center of the town.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I didn't seem to be able to control the room AC system. The room was a little bit too warm and I would wake up sweating in the middle of the night. Other than that, this hotel was great. The cleaning staff is great, the breakfast is very good and the front desk lady, Valerie, is wonderful. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Bonjour As you are in an anonymous mode we cannot find out wich room is uncomfortable but anyway we are proud to have so many good reviews... beds are higher than french standard and pictures are made from our guests ... So if its better at home what can we do ...
