Overall, decent hotel for the price. Booked due to location near the concert venue. The parking garage is not handicap assessable. You can get in the ground floor from the garage, but there is no way to get to the elevator unless going up many steps(obviously not happening for a person in a wheelchair). After parking you have to walk out of the garage(just a little difficult in a wheelchair). The go around the front of the building to get to the elevator. If you need handicap accessability and are the only one staying...this is not the place for you. You have to drop off your travel buddy at unloading, go back to the garage and meet them.
The area around the hotel isn't the best. Security at the hotel is good. Only complaint is I asked for toilet paper from housekeeping and they didn't seem to have any. Asked front desk they didn't have access to it. Waited way too long and had to call again.
Hotel nice and comfortable the area is not nice at all. Terrible stores and shops. Parking $35 is a rip off
The front desk staff (particularly Peter) were absolutely fabulous!!!!!!
Hotel relatively easy to access including parking. Simple walk to Prudential building. Sadly, the area has homeless around and people obviously struggling with addiction ( which could make for unexpected behaviors). Made it feel a little uncomfortable walking at night.
The lobby area and gym was very welcoming and comfortable.
clean, quiet...
great location
For the price range, hotel is deluxe! Very clean, modern, huge room, gigantic bathroom, giant TV. Plenty of hot water. Lots of hangers. Nice fitness room. Pleasant atmosphere. The only negative was the lack of dining. At all. Even the area was only sub shops and cheap eats.
It was the best place to stay in looking forward to visit next time
Hotel and rooms are very nice. The area is not the best and the parking attendants are rude and inattentive.
?
I like the front desk receptionist and security guard they were welcoming and helpful.
Peter at the front desk was absolutely fabulous, he is a superior representative for Marriott!!!!!
The room accommodations were very nice. The staff was also very courteous. There was a stain on my comforter and housekeeping promptly replaced it. My only 2 complaints are the slow bathtub drainage and the restaurant still being closed. There are a couple of nearby convenience stores and fast food locations. It's about a 12 minute walk from Newark Penn Station.

Dear Norma, Thank you for your review. We are in the downtown area of one of the biggest cities in New Jersey. Like every big city, it's going to have big city issues. Overall the area is very safe and offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars. We hope you come back and visit again soon.
