We had a wonderful weekend. Hiking day trips from cascade. Beds are perfect!
The Inn is almost 100 years old. Understandably, the rooms are small but overall, we had a pleasant stay. Lake Superior is right across the road so the view is wonderful. We would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed the cozy lodge and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. They have firewood bundles for purchase right inside the lodge.
I loved my rustic cabin! Everyone was friendly, the restaurant was delish and you can’t beat the scenery on the North Shore. Loved it!
Property was in very good condition, from what I saw. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The bar & grill next door was nice (same ownership). The staff in both places were very nice. Complimentary breakfast was passable, not great.
Could have been cleaned better.

Location, location, location!
Grogeous setting, good hiking from lodge, good dining options.
Beautiful place. Great location
Love lodges from this era, and this one is well maintained. Great location on the lake and can’t wait to return with kids to stay in one of the cabins!!
Our room was immaculate! From the decor to the comfortable bed, our stay was perfect! I honestly think it was the cleanest room I’ve ever had! Highly, highly recommend!
We stayed in the main lodge. It was a great mix of historic and modern. Beds were super comfy and the rooms have all the amenities you want in a hotel room. The common area was nice too. Great location for exploring the north shore.
This is a beautiful property across Hwy 61 from Lake Superior. Positives are the price, charm, staff and location. The location is superb as the Cascade River Hiking Trail is right on the property. Drawbacks are that there is no cell service on the property (they do have WIFI), and too in the room the sink faucet doesn't allow adequate access to the outlet. Nice place and I would stay again!
Had a really good experience. Clean cabin and food from restaurant was on point.
