Convenient to center city sights
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. And even though there was construction going on at the back of the hotel (they are expanding), it was never a problem and there was no construction noise after 6pm nor before 8am, so very quiet, even with the window open. Very pleased.

Very clean and nice property. Very friend staff and good food. Parking is very inconvenient and the air conditioning wouldn't stay on all night. So I'd wake up hot and have to reset it. Short but steep walk to all the main tourist areas.
Portions of the hotel is currently under major construction. Needless to say the views outside the window is less than desirable. I wasn’t too bothered by that, but I was unable to sleep well during my entire stay. I regretted spending $500 per day on such low quality accommodations. The construction began quite early in the morning, and in addition the cranes can get noisy with the wind at night. Think twice before booking here, at least until construction comes to an end.

The advantage of this property over the many others to be found in Edinburgh old town is that it is close to the the Royal Mile without being directly on it. This provides a calm aspect in a chaotic, albeit lovely, town. You also are quite close to Edinburgh Waverly train station, which is very helpful after a long train ride. The facilities themselves appear to be recently renovated. The pub attached to the onsite restaurant is a fine fallback if you just don't feel like going out. Overall, recommend.
Alex at the front desk was particularly helpful and bonnie. Everything is newly updated and fresh.
Pleasant hotel, clean, conveniently located to visit the old Edinburgh. One caveat: the hotel advertises a laundry service and laundry facilities but it only has the service, no facilities. Same with the Leonardo hotel in Glasgow.
Nice hotel. Great location (across from the train station), and breakfast was tasty. Our room was comfortable with an amazing view of Calton Hill. The pillows were a little thin. The room was well appointed though. The staff were all professional and courteous. We enjoyed our stay!

Location was just down the hill from the Royal Mile was a great mile that leads to Edinburgh Castle. All the shops and stores are great enjoyed being part of the old towne and seeing all the alleyways that lead to other streets but sometimes have store or backalley restaurants. Just loved Edinburgh
