We love it every time!
The property had a vacation home vibe to it. I really liked that. We had a room that was at the very end (I think) and it was still only a few minutes walk to the main building where there is a bar, restaurant with a patio overlooking the beautiful lake, store, pool, and a lounge area. I also like the chairs that are situated facing the lake. It was so nice to just sit and relax looking at the vast Lake Superior. The service from the front desk, bar, and restaurant was all good. The property has an indoor pool and a hot tub outside so bring your swim wear. But if you forgot to bring a pair head over to their store and they have a few that you can choose from. I didn't notice this until we were checking out but had I known we would have definitely spent some time in the hot tub after a whole day of walking/hiking. If you get a small room, expect a small room. My husband and I travel more often than others and we were both shocked at how small the space was. Everything was within reach (like literally) because as you open the door, the end of the bed is there as you step in. Then turn 90 degrees and there's the door to the bathroom. There was barely any room for our luggage. The water pressure was really good though. It wasn't "rough" so they must have some softener in their water system which was nice. So overall it was a 4 out of 5 kind of stay. The room could have been bigger. Other than that, it was a nice stay. We would definitely come back and getting a suite next time!
The room was literally a BED, that is it. If you are in the room you are laying in bed. and the bed was not comfortable. The land and the views were exceptional!

The property was beautiful! The staff was so warm and genuinely friendly. And the food was delicious! We were in a guest room/cottage and it was too warm to sleep well. We adjusted the thermostat, but the temperature was still high. Unfortunately we both woke up several times during the night.
A relaxing setting on the shores of Lake Superior, even in winter. The Wild Rice Porridge in the Ledge Rock Grille was wonderful on a cold morning. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Convenient & cozy accomodations. Flexible staff - we requested early check-in and they called within 30 minutes to say our room was ready. Shoreline bonfire made the stay extra memorable. Would definitely recommend!

Was not happy with the 4:30 check in time which was not convenient for us. We were told they would call when room was ready but we never did get the call. The room was tiny and had no fridge. No housekeeping service unless requested and there would be a charge. The nice thing about this hotel is the grounds and the many fire pits laced throughout the property which were right on the shores of Lake Superior. Ample wood was provided at each fire pit too. No ice machines but the bar provided us ice on request. For the steep price I expected more.

Lovely area on Lake Superior. The room was very very small. It was clean but nothing special more like an old style old motel. There was a small motel style coffee maker with only 2 pouches each of coffee and decaf. There was no fridge or microwave. The restaurant on site was good but pricey.
Guy who started fires rude first night and then very nice when trying to get our TV to work. Never did but we were given a discount because of this. All the other staff were excellant
