There was a sense of history with this property--in the lobby areas and throughout; but it did have the modern conveniences amenities in the rooms and restaurants and wherever one might expect "newness.".

I loved this hotel! Unique and affordable and great location. The only odd thing was that there was no outlet in my bathroom! The desk said there are only a few rooms in the hotel like that. I should play the lottery more often!
The remodel of this location is beautiful. I stayed there right before it closed for the remodel. It still has the historical feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only issue is parking is expensive at location, cheaper in the ramp close.
Had to b moved to different hotel because over booked. We had been at the fair all day and wanted to reat in the room.

This is a renovated hotel with a lot of history and interesting touches. The double queen beds room we stayed was spacious and very clean. The sheets, pillows, down comforters and the beds are very comfortable. The room decor is hip and modern. There are funky sculptures made of vintage suitcases in the lobby. The hallway carpet has the hotel milestones listed by year. It was an interesting way to learn its history. We had breakfasts at the hotel cafe in the mornings. They are very delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly and checked in on our stay experience and made sure our needs were met. Overall we had very nice stay at this wonderful hotel. We definitely would recommend this place to other travelers.
