A little too expensive, but convenient
Local traveler Oct 26, 2009
Room was not the guaranteed harborview room we were guaranteed, got view of Logan's runway, quite disappointed. Room itself ... was very nice. Room Service was perfect. Park & fly and shuttle to airport was extremely convenient, but a little pricey. Upon return our car was out front before we got off the shuttle.

My cousin and I went to see the Fall color in MA and ME for ten days. Hotel is great as starting place for a driving trip. ... Nice quiet rooms, good beds, friendly staff, outstanding view of Boston skyline and harbor. PAY THE UPGRADE FOR HARBOR SIDE ROOM. Until you pick up a car you are trapped into using their expensive restaurant as no others are nearby. It is a good place to rest after a cross country flight. Overall, our stay was good value.

If not on per diem or expense account, try to eat before or after using room. The Grill is very expensive--Two soups, cheese board, one glass of wine=$50 plus tip. Go to a deli!

A so-so Hyatt
Busy Traveler Oct 11, 2009
Super friendly and attentive staff. Only major downside is that you can hear everything in the hallway while your in your ... room(people talking while walking down hallway, when other hotel room doors close nearby). As an experienced business traveler, I'm simply use to much quieter rooms. I actually put up extra pillows I had at the bottom of the door to stop sounds from echoing into my room...it did help to suppress the noise a bit. Also, the AC gave off a slight musty smell while it was on. But the location to Logan airport can't be beat if you need to take off early in the morning.

Forget overpriced hotel restaurants with food you can get anywhere. When in Boston, take a short walk to the Italian North end. This is the area where the old North Church is located. There are dozens of great Italian restaurants and pastry shops for you to choose. If you like sweets, you MUST go to Mike's pastry shop just down the street from Paul Reveres statue. If you like good thin crust pizza, go to Sanparios at 113 Chelsea street in East Boston. Even though I'm from Chicago, where the best pizza is made, I have to admit this was outstanding.

The Hyatt Hah-bah side
dashund Aug 19, 2009
Second time we stayed at the Hyatt Harborside. Great location right off the harbor with breathtaking views of the Boston ... skyline. During nice weather, sit outside along the pier. You will see great sunsets and feel warm breezes. If you are on a budget, take the free shuttle to the blue line rapid transit. This will cost you about $2 each way. From there take the 10 minute subway train ride into the city. Exit at Aquarium, or State Street. The State Street station is the site of the Boston massacre. How's that for history! You can also take the water taxi into the city for about $10. Lastly, upgrade to a harbor view room if you want a great view.

Hotel is convenient to Logan Airport. Returned car to Budget rental - less than one mile away. Attendant said - call hotel ... for pickup. The hotel declined. Budget supervisor put bags in his car, and drove us to hotel. Kudos to Budget, Bah to Hotel. All else was fine.

Stacy Sep 26, 2008
The Hyatt Harborside was a beautiful hotel with a wonderful view of the harbor and the Boston skyline - on one side. There ... were no choices of places to eat except at the hotel. Transportation was easy with the provided shuttle and the nearby subway. Also there is a water taxi right there by the hotel. The airport noise was not a problem even being so close. It is realy a lovely hotel and Boston is a wonderful city!

Showing its age, great location
Richard Jun 10, 2008
This used to be a great on-airport property with a good location overlooking the harbor and downtown Boston. However, it is ... beginning to show its age and should be upgraded to normal Hyatt standards. Still the location is fabulous and the soundproofing in the rooms is vastly superior. Remember... this is an airport hotel, after all and the inside of Hyatt is almost completely quiet. The nice park along the harbor shoreline just outside the hotel bar is an added attraction.

A short water ferry ride across Boston harbor (leaves from hotel) is the North End and Fanuiel Hall Marketplace, both of which are loaded with restaurants, bars and attractions. Or, ask the concierge to put you in a cab for Rino's in East Boston (5 minutes from hotel)and enjoy the fabulous, authentic and inexpensive home made food.
