Good central place to stay

My friends and I were in town for a wedding and I think this is a good deal. It was quiet, clean, and near most places that ... you'd want to go. Most of the hotels in downtown New Orleans charge for parking, so not having to do that is nice. I think I would stay there again if I went back to New Orleans.

Very good meal at Drago's Seafood only a short drive away. The IHOP at the hotel was really good, with big breakfasts and friendly Romanian waitresses.

It was a normal stay at a normal hotel. Nothing was extraordinary. The hotel was a little scary looking on the inside. The ... ceiling was peeling from previous roof damage. The elevator also worked really slow.

That sleepy New Orleans charm mildewed into a stale old room with peeling paint and a toilet that did not flush. I would not ... want to have my family stay at this hotel.

I was visiting family members with my 2 year old son. The hotel is in a good location and ihop is right next door to it, ... which is a plus, But the front desk lady was not friendly. I did not feel comfortable or welcomed, carpet seemed like it did not get vacummed and phone would ring at all time of the nights with hang ups.

Just needed a room for the nite prior to my flight back home. The picture when I booked the room made me think this was a ... nice new place. It was old on the inside and not well maintained. The bathrooms are very small and the thermostat on the A/C was broken.

The Days Hotel located in Metairie, La is nice. My wife and I stayed there a few days while attending the Essence Music ... Festival and also touring post Katrina New Orleans neighborhoods. We knew that we would be spending most of our time out and about ,so we didn't feel the need to spend more money than neccessary for a nice place to sleep. The Days Inn was perfect. It's not the glitz and glam of a Hilton or Ritz Hotel but it's clean, the rooms are big and comfortable, the price was very reasonable and it's located on the I-10 highway service road which was great. It's minutes away from a mall and less than ten minutes from the Superdome & French Quarter. The best part , they have an onsite IHOP and a small fitness room. So you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner anytime without leaving your hotel. And there's no excuse to miss out on your daily workout just because you're away from home.

First of all the hotel was contacted by orbitz because the original dates was changed and cleared by the hotel manager and ... orbitz. I had the correct paperwork but the hotel system was not changed to reflect the correct arrival and departure dates. TWO SETS OF TOWELS NOT ENOUGH, IT SHOULD BE A MINIMUM OF FOUR SETS (2 SETS PER PERSON). It was very hot which cause for more showers through out the day. Check in was terrible only one clerk working with an event this big (NOT GOOD).

HAD FRIENDS STAYING IN FRENCH QUARTER PAYING TWICE AS MUCH FOR THERE ROOM AND 20$ FOR PARKING A DAY.THE DRIVE FROM METAIRE TO ... MEET WITH FRIENDS ONLY 10-15 MIN TO DOWN TOWN.I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN.

This is our second time staying at this location..and this is because of the price..you get what you pay for..no trills..but ... it's perfect if your looking for a low price,basic room style, IHOP is attached to the hotel, there is a hotel bar...it has everything you need..but the main reason why we've come back to this location is the price..I've looked around..and we always choose the best price..this hotel is perfect for what we wanted! And we will be staying there again! My only negative comment would be that the front desk staff are not friendly. Both times we've stayed there, they are always on the phone, which they do put on hold when we approach the desk, but she made us feel like we were interrupting her phone call..even the next morning..same thing..different people working the front desk...but the same bad customer service..but because we like the price..we will stay there again.

Taxis are expensive so either drive your car or rent a car because you will need transportation. The IHOP connected to the hotel is usually very crowded on the weekends. There are no restaurants close by.
