Beautiful Honeymoon
amy(r) Nov 12, 2009
We had a wonderful time. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was super nice and during the day there were lots of places to ... eat and get coffee. The bed was wonderful! Overall we had a fantastic time. The only thing we were unhappy with was the "free ride" service. The woman picked us up, had no idea where she was going and dropped us off, with all of our luggage, in the worst downpour in the 6 days we were there, 2 crosswalks away from a train station. Once we walked to the station we noticed that the gate was down and locked. We were trying to get to the Airport, but she had taken us out of the "downtown hotel district" so when a cab finally picked us up it cost us over $50 to get there instead of the $32 it would have cost to catch it from the hotel.

Fun in Seatle
Quickieturtle Aug 7, 2009
The W Hotel in Seattle is a great staging area to check out the downtown area. It's easy walking distance to the Pike Street ... Market, Waterfront, Monorail to the Space Needle/EMP, and shopping. Staff was extremely professional and helpful, suggesting a great seafood restaurant. Rooms are fantastic. 5 stars!

Spend elsewhere
Eddie Nov 30, 2008
I was pretty excited about staying at the W. I live in the same city, so staying at a hotel was for the service and to relax. ... It was awful. The guy came back with a fruit bowl, that was disgusting, and still had the other salad on the bill, as if the bowl of old fruit would suffice. I called and left a message for the manager. He called back (which was nice) but all he said was sorry, I can have someone from that department call you and try to see why your food was bad... uh, I don't get it. So anyway, don't go there. Seattle is food and hotel mecca- there are a thousand places to stay and I do often. Never again at the W.

Mold in the bathtub again
Kathleen Sep 28, 2008
I enjoy the liveliness of the W in downtown Seattle. I was disappointed that the tub surround had mold (again. This happened ... on a prior stay as well). I am very allergic to mold, so became very congested and uncomfortable but did not know why until I took a bath the next morning.

not family friendly
Thuong May 25, 2008
The room was smaller than we thought. It's more designed for business travelers rather than casual people. We have to ask ... for things like hot water since it doesn't have a coffee brewer ... however, the staff are very accommodating. The room service was quick and curteous (though they missed the toast the came with the continental breakfast that we ordered). Overall, the room is small and more fitted for a business traveler. It has all the anemities for business needs (internet access, flat screen tv, etc.).

The hotel is located pretty much in downtown ... so you have walking access to almost anything ... shopping, entertainments, the waterfront, dinning.

Nice hotel - bar service lacking though
Emily May 11, 2008
Overall we had a nice stay. The rooms were clean, hotel attendants, concierge, etc. were friendly and helpful. However, my ... boyfriend and I went to grab a drink in the lounge, and we were ignored for a good solid ten minutes. Then, when we went up to the bar to get our drinks ourselves, and the bartender rolled his eyes at us when I ordered the house champagne. Other than the barkeep and the lousy waitresses, we really enjoyed the W hotel.

Good Business Amenities
steve Feb 17, 2008
The rooms were nice, great beds. The hotel was close to Downtown rest., shopping, and the waterfront. Also, relatively close ... to the interstate. The only drawback was that the nightime noise was relatively loud with bus traffic and people out on the street partying late Friday & Sat. night.

This hotel is located right downtown on 4th but other than the location I would not pay full price to stay. I didn't find any ... of the front desk staff friendly or helpfull.I was also very dissapointed to find the lobby washroom always a mess. The room was fine but would not bring me back.I will admit I did like the bathroom and the bliss products left for you. Basicly location ,location, location.3 blocks from shopping, 5 from pike place and close to safco field.
