Unique Spanish Style Boutique Hotel. The Lemon Tree has warm, earthy colors, hand painted accents and saltio tiled floors giving it old world European charm. Many of the rooms have garden patios, set in a lushly landscaped fountain courtyard with outdoor fireplace and BBQ facilities. Kitchens, feather pillows and hand crafted rustic furniture are just some of the features that were added during a total makeover of the furnished apartments and hotel rooms in 2005. The Lemon Tree has only 30 hotel rooms and 57 furnished apartments so the property has a low key, quiet environment where the staff will help you feel at home for any length of stay.

We went to Disneyland with kids, wanted an inexpensive hotel not too far from the parks. Lemon Tree was pretty good deal. ... Highly recommend for family visits: courteous staff, quiet rooms, heated pool, free parking are nice. The downsides include: location is not best (requires ~7 min driving), and the hotel is pretty old, remodeling would be desired.

Nice place to stay
Family on vacation Nov 19, 2009
We went to Disneyland and and local reginal park. We stayed at this hotel to save some money and spend it on other things. ... It was nice, I liked it. Nothing spectacular but nice. The bed was noisy but comfortable. The tile floor was clean but cold. The heater was different it radiated from the ceiling and we were a little cold. The bathroom fan was loud like a airplane. Overall the area was quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff was nice and the breakfast was good. It was a good deal for the price we paid. I would recomend to a friend if they were trying to save money.

The hotel is close to a nice shopping center. Not close enough to walk to Disneyland that would just be CRAZY. Take slippers or your feet will be cold.

quick stay for lax
CA Dreaming couple Nov 19, 2009
It was just a quick stay closer to Lax for our 6am flight the next morning. But the charming decor and atmosphere left us ... wishing we could stay longer. Room was immaculate and comfy. The private cobblestone patio left me wishing I would be there for the free breakfast the next morning. I think it was great maybe next time we'll have more time to enjoy. It was about 10 minutes from downtown disney which isn't bad, but no shuttle service.

Not as good as I expected from reviews
birthday mom Nov 8, 2009
The rooms are quaintly decorated, as is the very small lobby. Nice tile floors. But, the carpet in our rooms was really ... awful. I'm guessing that they may update it soon, because it is so neglected (read, dirty.) Had to wash my feet before bed! The beds were not as comfortable as one reviewer said. I woke up very stiff, with a stiff neck all day -- at Disneyland -- on the roller coasters!! Got a great deal [...] so I can't complain too much at those prices. Front desk very kind. Breakfast: few healthy options. All in all, just not what I expected from some reviews.

The good, the bad...
Mystery Man Int'l Nov 2, 2009
This motel has loads of charm... complete with Spanish tile, this place looks like it could be in Cabo San Lucas. When I ... checked in, the attendant at the front desk was very polite and very helpful. The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the room was humidity... The room was a bit damp. But, no overt odors. I think the A/C unit might have been humidifying the room, judging from one of the settings being "dry". The room layout is definitely tailored towards leisure -- two queen beds, a small couch, a lounge chair, a TV/dresser, a fridge, a microwave, and no desk. I also couldn't seem to find the luggage rack thing to put my suitcase on. I got a super cheap price on this place, and it's within about a mile of the Anaheim Convention Center (and Disneyland and California Adventure and Angels Stadium). There is a pool and a hot tub, but they seem to be overrun with small children as far as I can tell at the moment. I called the front desk to ask about the internet access. It's $5 for the duration of your stay -- a good price -- and the desk clerk volunteered to bring the login information to my room. Silly great service. Unfortunately, the Internet access is slow. I would normally give a place like this 3 stars, but I got an incredible rate (about $50 a night) and this is a very passable, non-corporate-chain type of place, which I like. Given the decent quality, the great service, the convenient location, and the awesome price, I'll give this place 4 stars. Correction... pungent cigarette smell suddenly emanating from the bathroom fan vent! 3 stars! Update... The water didn't drain from the tub last night. My shower this morning meant standing in an ankle-deep pool of cold day-old bath water.

The best hotel in its price range I have ever visited. A little worn around the edges, but well kept up. All the staff was ... friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast didn't have a large variety, but was fresh and kept stocked. The pool area was nice. The so called gym was not worth the name. A good value for a traveler watching their budget.

We Love the Lemon Tree!
Mia Oct 31, 2009
The check in process was quick and painless. The gentleman that checked us in was named [...]. He was very friendly, helpful ... and informative. The room was all ready and waiting for us when we got there. The room was absolutely adorable!!! We've stayed at other "Budget Friendly" hotels and none had the charm and character of the Lemon Tree! The bed in the room was one of the most comfortable beds we've had in a hotel, even compared to much pricier places. The continental breakfast was well stocked and a perfect way to start the day. I'd recommend the Lemon Tree to anyone I know!

Just down the street from the Lemon Tree is a shopping center with everything you could need in it. Perfect if you left your shampoo at home, want to grab a bite to eat or need to pick up a necessity that didn't make it into your suit case.

Very good hotel for price. Ihop, 99 cent store and grocery store nearby. Staff very friendly. Not a luxury bed but ... comfortable enough. Easy driving distance to disneyland, no extra charge for parking like some other hotels so didn't mind paying parking at disneyland. The parking lot was small but felt safe even though we arrived late.

I loved the location of the hotel. Very easy to locate. Only problem, the trees kinda block the Lemon Tree Sign and you have ... to go back down the block. the hotel was very unique and clean. Not like you traditional hotel but very homey. The staff was also helpful and polite. Two major problems that I had the internet connect was slow and the shower water didnt get hot enough. When leaving the parking lot turn right instead of left. More shopping 2 blocks away. Best view for watching fireworks outside park is by Shakeys pizza. Plenty of folks with the lawn chairs out. After Disney fireworks end; Knott's Berry Farm starts good view for 40 mins. Enjoy.

the walk to disneyland and california adventures will take about an hour. the walk wouldn't have been a problem for me and my boyfriend but the heat really got to us and we didn't bring enough water to last the duration of the walk. i suggest that you bus there ($1.50 is the fare but you have to transfer once...the commute there will be about 10-15 minutes). we took a cab on the way back ($15 is the maximum)
